Piet is the only member of the new consortium we'll be able to directly find out - the other three will have their identities kept secret to 'protect their privacy'.

Fair in principle, but don't we have a fair right to know who owns our club?

Exactly! How are we supposed to know who to follow to their car and abuse? Haha

I find it VERY strange that we're not allowed to know who the owners are. Is that normal in world football?

Why should we buy memberships to a club that has 3/4 of its ownership hidden from view?

Hearing one of the owners is the agent of Sergio van Dijk.

im not bothered that we know nothing about the other stakeholders.

I dont think its unusual clubs are not aware of every identity involved in the parent company.

It does make me even more curious if marveggio is involved, possible found other investors to buy out the rest of the board? Who knows.

It's in the Val article that Marveggio is no longer involved.

Can listen to the Triple M interview here (starts at 3:20). Mentions that the CEO and the coach should be the voices of the club. Hopefully that means a CEO is appointed very soon. Need that and a lot more backroom staff IMO.

So it sounds like we have owners who have invested in the club to further their business interests in australia and around the world.

Presumably a succesful club that plays in asia would be in their best interests.

Potentially an exciting time to be an aufc fan, only time will tell

Very true although I'm not 100% convinced Ante has been given the full hand to work with.

Would be a good idea to expand our scouting network though.

Was talking to someone the other day who's involved in local leagues, he reckons despite the great number of kids coming through we still lose a fair few because of the lack of our junior program. This for me is the number 1 on the list, FFSA must listen

Yeah i totally agree about ante, however if there is one name / person that is adelaide united id say it was petrillo.

As i understand it petrillo and probably antes job discription covered a much wider scope than their counterparts at other clubs for cost cutting reasons.

Better late than never. Too many golden arches appearing all over the place for my liking this year. I welcome new money and these new sponsors/ business interests.

Love them or hate them, our most recent owners were the most successful we've had.

Thanks for the memories and welcome to our new overlords.

Just read vals interview and at this stage it certainly sounds promising. He was even at the grandfinal.

Obviously talk is cheap and only time will tell.

Reading vetween the lines
-more money in the squad and behind the scenes
-no adelaide oval games unless we can fill it
- hindmarsh upgrades need to be discussed
-intentions for a full academy from u8s up.

My take on his comments is the clubs identity as a producer of talent will continue we will just be better funded and connected in each area.

The thing that riles me up us it appears contact with previous ownership may have been made after out grandfinal win ( there were rumours at the time) the clubs ambition and investment plumetted after the grandfinal, our title defence was abysmal through no fault of the squad we just did not have quality.

I think its clear now why we fell so far behind.
