Tarek is in the squad because he was whinging in the press that he's good to go, surely?

Mick Marrone is struggling for game time so i don't fancy the chances of the 31y.o coming off an ACL who has all but signed with WSW.

Marco isn't the type of coach to pick players because they're whinging.

I do agree that Tarek won't get much time, if any at full back which is why I wouldn't be surprised if he plays another position.

So did someone on here say Kurz will be in the stands for this game? Can't find any reports of this.

Someone did in this here thread. However as of Tuesday he was asked to ‘show cause’ by the FFA and the standard procedure is to provide a week to do so. When people post news it’d be great if they cited a source or popped a link in their comment.

I'll believe Elrich or Absalonsen are in the squad when I see them kitted out and sitting on the branch when the ref blows the whistle to start the game.

Absalonsen actually travelled to Melbourne so should be a chance for the bench.

Elrich I'm not sure about. And like someone else mentioned, no need to play him with Marrone still on the bench and him likely to leave for WSW next season. May as well stick with the Strain/Marrone/Garuccio wingback combo.

Absalonsen was definitely on the flight.

I don't think Tarek was though.

Even though he was on the plane .... even if he warms up with everyone else .... I won't believe he's in the final squad until he's named as a sub and sitting on the bench.
