A big game this weekend; true 6 pointer. We are without Gulum, though hopefully still have Kurz. Still, the lads will be fired up after last week and are in some fine form.

Blackwood to play a little wider once more? It must be a tempting thought for the tactically inclined Kurz.

The Victory have a long trip back from China, though I must say George continues to shine and will be one player we really need to contain.

Either way we have the goods, should be a cracker.

Gonna be out at a function so I won't be able to watch live. Might "accidentally" leave my phone at home to avoid social media and game notifications...

Anyone doing the away day? We tend to get a good crowd there.

0 - 2 our way. The Filth have just been smacked 4 - 1 in Shanghai - and embarrassed Australian football into the bargain - and looked like they didn't even belong in the same competition - which they did not.

As a hilarious, but still pertinent, by-the-by, the 'Muscat Out' thread on the Filth's own fan forum is now up to 28 pages. I can't tell you how much joy that brings to my heart. My second favourite German word (after 'Marco Kurz') is 'schadenfreude'.

Im not sure about blackwood wide but it does say alot about his ability with the ball and his agility. Many have said he is not mobile enough for a striker, im not sure who they have been watching as he had routinely dribbled defenders when pulled wide all season.

I think playing blackwood and djengas ( spelling ) both as a 2 pronged attack is an option as both are very mobile for big men and are arial threats. I suppose its just another option if the situation calls for it.

I have no worried with reagan coming in.

These are the games we need to win,

Our last 20 minute steamrolling most games always brings the phrase “blitz krieg” to mind.

Im 50/50 as to if its an offensive slur to some ears though

It makes me so happy to see Melbourne Victory struggle this season and I love the Muscat hate from their own fans.

I would love to see him fired and I'd love to see him stay and run them into the ground. My biggest issue is that if he leaves MV, he will probably move into a Fox sports role. The dirtiest football player in the world but Fox sports treat him like he is a footballing god.

I think Blackwood is mobile and agile enough on the ball. I think he is a bit slack off the ball, especially if he doesn't get service, he drops his head and strolls back to half way, half heartedly pressuring opposing defenders as he goes. I think he's doing well enough though, I didnt expect him to have a 6 or 7 goal HAL season and he's on track for that at the moment.

Not worried about our defence with Elsey and Reegs. Wouldn't mind Marrone coming back in, he lifted the side when he came on last week. In saying that, Strain definitely has to start, ahead of either Garruccio, O'doherty, Kitto or Mileusnic.

My wishlist for this game-

A red card for Rhys Williams
A goal for Dzengis
Another goal for Elsey

No Kurz for Saturday. FFA have called him out...
They bust him a couple of days before the game.

Fark I hope FIFA break the bastards.

Usually it takes them over a week to make those sort of decisions.

Re Blackwood, he is not a winger but definitely looks better with the ball at his feet and running at defenders. He just isn't a target man. He looks best suited to a CF position or second striker in a 4-4-2.

Johan and Tarek are back. I'll be interesting to see where Elrich plays, maybe as a winger or even a CB?

I see no confirmation that Kurz is out. Does anylne have a link? The only news I have found is that on Tuesday FFA have asked to ‘show cause’, and Kurz gets a week to do this.

Tarek will be on the bench. There’s no way he slots straight in because he’d be well off the pace. Kurz in his post match even alluded to this fact, that Tarek isn’t up to standard yet.

That was me speculating. I just can't see him displacing Strain or Garuccio in the team.
