seriously...another 2 weeks and still no baba or johan. Just move them on. What a waste of two spots they have been.

The thing that annoys me is that we keep hearing 2 weeks, 2 weeks, 2 weeks. We'd be better off saying they were done for the season 2 or 3 months ago and tried to sign some injury replacement players with their wages.

exactly. We have stuffed around for so long we have effectively ruined any chance of getting a player in that could provide us something. Come seasons end, signing baba and johan would have easily cost us a fair few points.
The question is, do we flog them off or risk signing them again. I know what i think we should do.

I would sign Johan again, and pump the running into him during the off season.

If the newbie wants to hang around and is a success then we sell Baba.

I'd let Baba go. I was barely convinced at the end of last season and now we've suffered with and without him this season. Also he wasn't chosen by Kurz but for Kurz, I'd rather let him bring in his own visa players.

I'd take another chance on Johan, although he'd be a year older, wouldn't of played in months and is largely unproven. Maybe we could offer him less money.

Injury update from Val's article:

He also welcomed the fortnight’s break, revealing Ersan Gulum (ankle) and Jordan Elsey (concussion) had recovered with striker George Blackwood (knock) also overcoming injury.

“The plan for the other (injured) boys, Johan Absalonsen (glute) he will train full with the team from next Tuesday,’’ Kurz said.

“The plan for Vinnie Lia (knee) to train with the team from next Tuesday and Tarek Elirch (knee) looks good after training for two or three weeks with the team but he looks good, he needs performance as well.

“The only boy that needs more time is Baba Diawara (thigh), he started running training but I don’t know how long he needs to come back to full training.”

Good to see that Johan, Vinni and Taz could be back soon.

It was still ruined from the Foo Fighters concert as of last night. I doubt it got any worse though.

It didn't help it that's for sure.

Should have been shifted once the pitch was ruined the first time.

Kurz said in his presser that it was worse and thought it should of been scheduled when we had 2 away games in a row.

He also said that he turned on the AFLX for 2 seconds and then turned it straight off because the pitch looked so bad.

I mean he's not wrong. It wouldn't have helped. In fact all parties would be better off if it never happened.

I'll qualify by saying that I only watched the first 2 games on Thursday. But from the state the ground was in from the start, there is zero chance it would have recovered by kickoff tomorrow, regardless.
