Yep. Keeping Ochieng and Marrone on was simply retarded

Melbourne City 5-0 Adelaide United

You win some, you loose some and today we were smashed.

Absolutely knocked off the park today.

A good game to miss the video feed on. It was painful enough via radio.

Oh well, on to next week.

I thought we were the 2nd best team and could challenge SFC. Not on tonight’s showing. If Man City can do that to us we have a lot of work to do. Imagine if we had McCormack, Vidosic, or Budzinski instead of Injured, Injured, and Too Young and Slow.

Teams don’t score two or three belters unless they’re feeling the confidence of utterly outclassing their opponents...

Tbh with the squad we have I think our ceiling is just bog average. You pay peanuts, you get monkeys.

I’d like to go on a big rant about the owners being massive tightarses, but to be fair to them it’s much easier to say go out and sign this player and that player when you’re not the one who has to stump up the money. And unfortunately in Adelaide there’s not a lot of people lining up to put money into the club.

We are bad but we are not 5-0 bad.

Marrone and Ochieng need a week off.
You play Apostolos, Marrone and Ochieng for 100 minutes you deserve to lose 5 nil.
We aren’t 5-0 bad?

Um. The scoreboard doesn’t lie.
I mean, I didn't think on the balance of the second half we should have conceded 5.

Still a terrible performance and terrible night.

Big shakeup required next week.

The problem is a shake up wont help. We have the worst squad in the league again. We keep
Punching above our weight but cant always do it. Our visa players are always injured and our back ups are either terrible or inconsistent.
We need to dump absa and baba and find some real players and sign someone for matmours place that we just have not bothered to do.

Yeah I agree. 5-0 is a harsh result. AU took the game to City for large parts of the match. On another day AU take their clear chances and City's worldies don't go in and AU would walk away with a point.

Mentally havnt recovered from last week.

With such a young team they had nothing left this week. Honestly fairly normal to expect a poor showing when u rely on youth coming down from a high.

5-0 is terrible though.

Our squad has issues but its a good squad and we have a quality manager, they will bounce back

We have scored 19 goals in 17 games this season. Tells the story really.

It’s crazy, I thought we were the second best team in the league as well. Today would definitely suggest otherwise. Maybe forget about defensive work in training and concentrate 100% on working out how to score some goals. We looked completely devoid of ideas all game (which has been the case all season)

I realise how stupid that’s sound after conceding 5, but I genuinely think our defence is great
