A Sunday game, so time to recover, but how are we faring with injuries? I assume Nikola has recovered and Johan at least bench worthy.

O'Doherty has made a solid case for his inclusion in the starting XI and Stamatelopoulos has done enough to remain at the pointy end. Problem is, where do we dip into on the bench? I assume Pacifique will have another call-up as we look for attacking options.

Reegs will be back. No idea if Gulum will be fit or not.

Anyone know how long Kitto is out for?

Val said mentioned in his article gulum should be available.

I dont think the kids can back up with another amazing performance like they did against sydney. Most of them were running on pure adrenaline playing their first professional minutes.

That kind of intensity cant really be duplicated and frankly would be mentally draining so i would expect a more lethargic performance if we were still hamstrung by injuries.

I think odoherty has to be in our first 11 now and could he potentially be a future 10 for aufc? A home grown 10 would be amazing.

We should field a good team milesunic should be back so probably only a little weak on the opposing wing without kitto and apostelos upfront who has been quite good so far.

Our match-day squad had an average age of 21.8 last week which included 6 teenagers. A little more experience this week would be nice.

Definitely need more of O'Doherty. That kid is something special.

Looks like Niyongabire is headed off with the Youth team to compete in the 2018 PSM Makassar Supercup in Indonesia tomorrow.

I reckon that this will be another win to us - and a clean sheet to boot. Take away their Scottish import and their 18 y.o. kid -Anzari? - and they look flat and totally devoid of ideas. Warren Joyce is so relentlessly defensive that even their own fans chant "Boring, boring City" sometime every match. So if we sit back and let them have their 90% possession, hit them on the counter from either Kitto or Mileusnic on the wings (assuming that both are playing) and send Johan or Adlung through as the central wrecking balls, then the goals will flow for us. For such a dull team to watch, City is surprisingly fragile at the back.

I happen to be in Melbourne for the tennis this weekend so have opted for a Monday morning flight home so that I can attend this game!

Looking forward to it.

My last away game happened to be against City when David Villa was playing. We won 2-1 that day thanks to a Djite header and a Carrusca penalty won by Kamau.

9:am kick off Central European time.

Well done EdDog.

The old "two birds with one stone" trick!

When United score and the players run to the away supporters to celebrate, give the Jamboree a wave!

:D

Nah that's still too old for me! Give old man Isa the boot and get even younger kids in!
There was some kids kicking around at HT on Sunday that looked like they could step up! :D

In Marco's post match he said, Kitto woke up with some knee pain after playing WSW, and said he looks ok now. Given its a Sunday game we'll probably see him back in the line-up.

So both Mile and Kitto back is a huge help, pushes O'd back in midfield away from the wing where he is wasted and put alongside Isa and Adlung.

Absalonsen out again, this time with a glute issue. Not his fault but is there even any point worrying about playing him again?

Kitto is back though, which is good.

So the olyroos guys are back in contention.

I dont think garuccio is in our first 11 now.

Izzo will probably come back in but margush is pushing him.

Im interested to see if konsta gets the nod over odoherty, i think fans want to see odoherty start more often.

And another week without our visa players. Time to move them on and find someone that can play more than a third of a season

IMO Blackwood is the only one of those three I'd be rushing back in.
