Just watched replay and I’m still calling a handball in the box in 87th min. I sit near there and called. Handball and now I’ve watched replay the ball hits leg and then up and hits his arm away from body. Just one of those years where we cop bullshit penalties and never get them go our way.

No way that was more than purely accidental. If that was a pen it would have been outrageous (even though Marrone copped a bullshit penalty like that earlier on in the season)

One of the better 0-0 draws we've seen in recent years! Not a result to celebrate - but 100% one to appreciate and remember.

Tonight proved that our crop of youngsters are the way forward. And did they shine.
I felt like a proud dad watching the kids take the game to the Champions like that.
So happy to see the side come away with a well earnt point.
Looks like a lot of my stressing about the club not bringing thru young talent is for nothing! I just hope all the lads keep getting more and more games together.

But that’s my point. The penalty we copped against Newcastle wasn’t even a handball but called a penalty after a deflection. It’s just crazy how one week something is a yellow/red card or penalty/free kick. The next week it’s not.

Garuccio cops a sending off for time wasting the next week time wasting is accepted.

But wow that was a great result yesterday. Still pumped from it.

Good job guys for Sydney "PRECIOUS" FC scoreless. I hope that Graham Arnold is kept away from the Socceroo's Job as he is a sore loser and i dont think his mental ability to control the Socceroos when the going gets tough would hold.

Just watch the after match coach interviews on foxsports where he talks trash about the fact they should have done better against an oppositions that did not even have one shot on target. How many cones did he smoke before the game and was he talking about the same game.

Just imagine if we had a full strength and fully fit first team. Congrats to the young guys though, hope Kurz keeps blooding them and giving them game time when deserved.

Also who else thinks that Izzo should have to win his Goal Keeping spot back.

One of kurzs best qualities is that he seems to be a great manager of men.

Margush made some good saves but SFC should have had 1 or 2 goals from his distribution.

Izzo straight back in when he returns.

Sydney FC will only have to travel out of NSW 3 more times in the last 11 rounds of the HAL. Luckily they have ACL starting soon, gives Newcastle a chance to catch them.

Its a big thing for young keepers to work on. For me he's close to as good a stopper as Izzo but the distribution needs work.

Its funny in previous weeks we have praised margushs pin point distribution.

Granted he made a few errors against sydney but you get that with youth and to be honest izzos distribution can be very off at times.

Sydney pressed high at times and put him under pressure.
