Apparently lucas saw the replay and said strain arm was away from his body so he still thinks it was a penalty? Crazy crazy stuff.

You have got to be fucking kidding me. It is a shocker of a decision, because even if it did hit the very upper part of the arm it is still not a handball. The ball has to hit the arm to be a handball but not every ball that hits the arm is a handball. Lucas should be sacked if he thinks it is a handball even after watching the replay as he lacks anything close to the minimum competence to do the job.Apparently lucas saw the replay and said strain arm was away from his body so he still thinks it was a penalty? Crazy crazy stuff.

Michael Thwaite arguing with the referee in favour of Walt Brama not getting a red card or it being sent to VAR. Tells you how much this system is broken.

No surprise with shit referees on the Var. var doesn't solve the human factor weak point, agreee that Lucas and KGJ should be stood down if they still think that was a penalty.

I see what happened. In real time Lucas thought it was handball. Subsequent Fox replays show it wasn’t, so Lucas made an error and assumed it was handball.
VAR looked at it. Clearly they don’t have access to the video that we have at home (Fox Sports, which showed it wasn’t handball). The VAR must have been inconclusive so they referred it back to Lucas’ original decision. If only they had a subscription to Foxtel they would have seen No Handball.
Shitty outcome. Amateur Hour. But prior to VAR this happened every week. Not sure how VAR can improve the game if this is how it operates.
For some reason I keep watching this rubbish. I think Isaias is the only reason I still have any interest.

Watched Kurz's press conference.
He asked a journalist whether they thought it was a penalty and the reply from another journalist was not one person in the ground thought it was a penalty. Kurz then corrects hims, the referees did so 4 maybe 5 thought it was a penalty.
Also Kurz said the referee said Strain moved his arm away from his body into the path of the ball. That would be a penalty BUT IT IS NOT WHAT HAPPENED. Kurz said he needs glasses because he cannot see the movement.
Very nice press conference from Kurz.
In the other game apparently Okon told one of his coaches to verbally blast the referees and get sent off to make a point.
Thwaite arguing for Brama not to be sent off
Gombau after the game not only shaking Okon's hand but giving a supportive pat on the shoulder.
I think it is time for the coaches to get together and make a joint statement against VAR. They are clearly agreeing that it is making terrible decisions and is not fair. It might have to be without Graham Arnold as he probably loves VAR.

I don't think there is a specific anti-Adelaide basis. I do think though that Sydney to a large extent and some of the other Eastern states teams to a lesser extent get favourable treatment from the referees. As well as that there are a lot of highly incompetent decisions being made. This has gone beyond some Anti-Adelaide bias...... this is just flat out disgusting all around.

I agree that things a very close to breaking point, when we have players arguing against cards given to opposition players, coaches getting themselves sent off to prove a point and coaches actively supporting each other against bad decisions then things have clearly gone far too far.

Muscat probably would have punched the referee and in some ways I would not blame him.
