Yeah, just about ready to walk away from this league for the rest of this season.
Its genuinely that bad now.
VAR is a great idea. But they have fucked it so badly its like a hidden camera comedy and they're trolling us.
How did cricket get it so right with DRS compared to this?

I assume he was using hand to cover the whole arm. He didn't say it was a penalty.Torpor -Stanley did not see it but after seeing the replay he reckons it "hit a hand".
Where does he think peoples hand's grow from?

2 games so far this round and VAR has wrongly changed both games.
This is not even unusual any more its just accepted.

There was a huge error in the current test match with DRS and there have been mistakes previously with DRS. It is far from perfect and has had plenty of controversy in the past. Even now a lot of people do not like how LBWs are handled and fail to understand the system. Cricket is also perfectly suited to a review system given it is a game of discreet plays as opposed to a far more continuous game like football.Yeah, just about ready to walk away from this league for the rest of this season.

So I am not sure cricket have got it right in a way that can be transferred to football.

VAR seems to be about as wise as the people who use it. That being said the result cost us 1 point. We chose not to chose not to chase the win. One point won't cost us the league. It's football. Shit happens - and in the A-League it happens all the time. There is no wonder that people are choosing not to attend. Courageous football and clear, consistent refereeing make football watchable. Too much more of this will kill the game.
But we beat Victory so the rest of the year is irrelevant.

But there is no logic in what he said.I assume he was using hand to cover the whole arm. He didn't say it was a penalty.Torpor -Stanley did not see it but after seeing the replay he reckons it "hit a hand".
Where does he think peoples hand's grow from?
The guys arm was clearly by his side and the ball hits him in the upper body.
I'm loosing it Ghost.

I see no shame it taking a point back from Newcastle.

The ffa have to publicly apologise or the refs. Someone has to publicly admit they stuffed it beyond comprehension. Kgj should be sacked from the var role if he seriously does think thays a penalty.

There was a game in the world cup where Chris Gayle was obviously out LBW first ball, DRS got the call wrong. He made 215.How did cricket get it so right with DRS compared to this?

We copped an unlucky goal, scored a good goal and then got robbed by a terrible decision to award a penalty. We were more than a match for Newcastle.
Newcastle have been extremely lucky in the last two weeks. Out played by Perth last week, one shot on target all game, but win 2-1. Then get a lucky goal to a player standing in an offside position because a tackle ended up at his feet and then got a wrong penalty to win 2-1. They probably should have lost the last two games.

Oh yeah, point absolutely taken. But it quickly became part of the game in cricket, both at the ground and on TV. Not perfect, but done surprisingly well. There was a huge error in the current test match with DRS and there have been mistakes previously with DRS. Been a disaster in the HAL. Absolutely catastrophically bad. If its for obvious errors, fine - let the VAR ref see ALL the angles (Adam Peacock just saying he doesn't see the vision Fox viewers did, because FFA I guess) and over-rule the call if it is wrong. Not perfect, but quicker and easier than what we have now.
(I still have horrible flashbacks to images of Chris Beath skipping to the VAR screen at Hindmarsh vs WSW)

Cricket has had a lot more time to improve the system. There was a huge error in the current test match with DRS and there have been mistakes previously with DRS.
