Awesome second half, much better than the first. Kept the ball well for longer periods and stopped silly turnovers
We were pushing for a winner all the time.
Our possession is much more effective this season.
Adi and Kitto had really good games, great for them both to score. Some sub par performances, Isa and Marone
Subs made a impact.
Also great to have Gulum and Baba back.

Good to get a well deserved win after going behind to a soft penalty.
A few sloppy moments allowed CCM to have some good attacking play but they really only generated a couple of half decent chances. Adelaide blew a few better scoring opportunities and totally dominated the second half.

To be fair australians have a tendancy to over pronounce and under pronounce at very strange moments to a europeans hear. Add to that the interviewer speaks super fast.We have a knack for getting these types of managers, even the Aussie ones !!!!!Not being critical of Kurz but he has really poor English.

Kurz has done a fantastic job thus far. Im really impressed.
Given our run of injuries and contentious ref decisions we have played some good football and probably could be a top 2 side if his players were not so damn wasteful in front of goal.

Great performance (except for the wasteful finishing). Mileusnic, Blackwood and Matmour would have been having nightmares if we hadn't won that.
Defence looked so much more composed with Gulum there. Matmour had his best game for us so far, but still obviously not fully fit for Aussie conditions.
Isaias an uncharacteristically poor game for the first 60 minutes.
Gives me some hope for the Cup Final.
Rojos is just a troll. Multiple posts slagging us off during the game, then only one post after we win in which he calls Adlung's worldie a "b.s. goal".

Hey Otto, troll is a bit strong!
Firstly the postivies, Kitto was good and is cementing his spot and 3 points away from home is very valuable, will take them any way we can get them.
Im just concerned by Kurz' football.
Look at the two goals, one is a screamer from 30 yards (not something we can rely on every week) the other Ochieng hacks blindly over his head in a scramble and Kitto tucks away nicely (again can we rely on this every week?).
I'd love to see us break down a defence rather than shooting from 30 (or in Elseys case 40) yards out and penalty box scrambles.
Where is O'Doherty btw? Didnt make the bench...

Thought we broke down their defence on numerous occasions.Im just concerned by Kurz' football.

You’re right we can’t rely on those goals but those were actually the harder ones to score - some absolute sitters went begging. I counted 3 or 4 golden chances.
Flipping to CCM who were at home, I can’t think of one good chance they had.
They looked pretty at times but had 1 shot on target for the game - and that was a pen!

Beat me to it EdDog.
Regardless of their possession they hardly bothered Izzo.

Having just watched the three odd minutes of highlights I see United provided most of the attacking chances.
And I believe Ochieng passed it over his head to the top of the box on purpose.
In other words it wasn't a fluke.

Fair enough Rojas, I take back the troll comment.
However, those were two well taken goals. A b.s. goal would be a defender kicking it into someone's backside and rebounding in, or a poor backpass that gets cut out, or a miss hit shot that deflects past a keeper who has it covered. A 30 yard screamer and a well hit first time volley are not b.s.
Where we agree is that we can't afford to keep missing the good chances that we're making. On the positive side, we're making the chances.

I agree with you mate, obviously ignoring the Mileusnic sitter. AU need to create more opportunities to put their strikers in good positions to shoot.
Obviously those opportunities aren't going come regularly away from home but this isn't something that's isolated to this week.
My hope is that once Matmour gains more and more fitness he's the missing link AU need. I was pretty impressed with him last night but he's still got a lot more to go before he looks like a 90 min player.
I'm really excited for the rest of the season personally. With Matmour on the rise, Absolonsen coming back in, Adlung clearly finding his feet, Baba coming back in, Gulum leading the defence well and Izzo recovering very well from his poor game against City.
The squad is looking very competitive all we obviously need is that improvement from the supply and I have no doubt Mileusnic, Baba and Blackwood will all be on the score sheet soon.
Time to Djbate!

Hahaha spot on! Was enjoying it after a few beers but seemed like a comedy duo with all the snickering. And we have the two comedians in the commentary box who seem more interested in honing their two man act than concentrating on the game.
