I think we've definitely moved on from Gombau, so I hope he moves on to bigger and better things. Stupid decision by WSW.

With Gombau gone from WSW, does that mean our players who were looking at a move over there are now sticking with us? :p

They signed him for 3 years clearly aware gombau brings ling term success not a short term fix.

Wsw then sack him when he does not achieve anything in the short term, wtf is going on over there?

They were more than happy with popavic only performing well every other season

Absolute lunacy. What did they honestly expect.

Crazy for WSW to fire him. With a decent budget he could create a league dominating team.

Should we consider having him back? No. It was Amor’s pragmatism that won us the double. Sure, Gombau was the battering ram for culture change but it was Amor that broke the doors down.

Stupidly short sighted by WSW.

Stupid decision. IMO WSW saw it as a chance to get Popa back in.

Apparently another coach is getting axed tomorrow.

Surely it wouldn't be anyone in the finals. Wellington have already dumped theirs as has CCM and now WSW. Looks like it might be the end for Kenny Lowe?

Or Muscat might have taken the Japanese job he is linked to, but unlikely.

WSW is the new boys' club. I bet the likes of old dinosaur hacks like Santalab and Bridge had a say in this.

Perhaps the soon-to-be-open-Perth position is his next destination. He could do well out West.

WSW are a club that demands instant results which meant Gomby was always going to be a poor match.
