Why am I so sad when my team won?

Why does feel like everyone lost?

Val has written about. Quotes from Adlung:

“It’s always like that it’s very tough, I like it like that, but in Germany tackles like that, you get a red card,’’ Adlung, 30, told Fox Sports.

“But here it’s nothing, they play through (this), it’s new for me.”

I can see a lot of impact injuries this year if the refereeing continues along this vein. Luckily we have a bit of depth to our squad as I fear it is going to be needed.

I feel like it was the same story last season against Victory and Wanderers.
Refereeing was abysmal, they must be held accountable.

We played well I thought, contained Wanderers all night.
Again we started slow, really need to address this. Maybe it is due to all the travel we have done, so hopefully a rest and a home game will help.

Massive for the club to reach another final, congratz to everyone invovled.

There were extra linesmen at the 18 yard boxes last night. Did either side or goal linesman flag for that penalty?

Still can not believe what happened last night. Not the result but the officiating. I have worked it out though. The bigger membership base you have, the more your players can get away with and fans for that matter. Both victory and wsw should have been docked points for fan behaviour but nothing happens. Players hack and assault teams and never face sanction. Gui amor gets accused of something and bang suspension.

I’ve watched a lot of A-League and that’s by far the worse officiating I’ve ever seen.

There’s been games with a soft red card, a soft penalty, red cards not given.

But never 3 blatant reds, a non-penalty and numerous challenges without even a yellow (Risdon scissor on Johan).

To top it off an additional 90 seconds played in added time.

It beggars belief.

That Melling 'tackle' is atrocious. Seeing as the referee failed to produce a card, surely it could be reviewed.

I'm not so outraged about the penalty though. Sure it was soft, but Isaias had his arms raised, swung, and made contact to the head with his elbow, so it was certainly there to be given.

another new thing this season i have noticed is that almost all of our games have gone to 5 minutes injury time in the second half despite only one maybe 2 goals scored and no other stoppages.

The only problem is that Isa is 5 foot nothing, had both feet on the ground and had his arms out to the side not raised. The only way that hits him in the head is if he is going down to make the contact high. Ridiculous decision, especially given it results in an almost certain goal.

It’s a new initiative across the league from FFA to play generous injury time because of goals or stoppages throughout the game.

In every game so far there has been significantly more injury time and I welcome it.

My gripe last night was that they showed 4 on the board then allowed another minute for WSW to attack, win and take a corner.

The goal line official and the linesman both kept their flags down. There was no discussion, he didn't consult the other officials. He saw Santalab go down holding his face and pointed to the spot without a second thought.

If Isaias had elbowed a player in the face, as Green has deemed, then how was it not a yellow?

I will double check the penalty but seeing the commentators have all said there was nothing there, that it was the softest penalty given this season I think was said I did not examine it too much. It just looked like Santalab went into a crouch and Isaias went over the top of him because he was no longer standing. If anything a free to Isaias and yellow card for trying to deceive the referee.

Looked at the replay, Santalab plays for the penalty from the start. He backs into Isaias with his head low looking for contact and then collapses when a little bit comes. Attackers could do that at every corner and a lot of crosses into the box if that is a penalty. There needs to be a genuine attempt to play the ball something that was not done by Santalab.
