Canberra perhaps?

It seems to me like the plan was Allianz stadium if it was the Wanderers and Leichhardt Stadium if it was us but the idiots mucked up and Leichhardt stadium is not available so they now have to come up with another plan. I have no problem with the final being in Sydney but the way it is happening is not a good look.

Allianz has just been announced.

Sydney wont get more than 20k at thw game and stadium will look abd sound empty.

Hindmarsh was the right choice for football. Allianz was right for FFA.

In the end it just raises more eyebrows given the refereeing recently and fixtures

It seems adelaide has really ruined ffas plans

Yeah despite all Peter Green’s efforts he just couldn’t get WSW into the decider.

Probably fair Sydney get to play at home after playing 3 days prior. We get 5 days’ rest but have to travel.

Home support + 3 days rest
Vs
Travel + 5 days rest

Probably a fair result for both.

They also played south melbourne to qualify for the final. We played wsw.

Some kind of selection process is surely needed to prevent this type of thing.

Why not if 2 aleague teams qualify the club who played another aleague club gets the home final. Or revert to last seasons ladder position?

Ffa cup is supposed to be about growth of the game. Sydney is over saturated with football next month with a mid week roos qualifier.

From david Gallop
FFA considered a range of factors in deciding between Adelaide and Sydney. It is important that, where possible, the FFA Cup Final is played in different locations around Australia to showcase the truly national nature of the competition. FFA is hoping to break the attendance record by beating last year’s number achieved in Melbourne.
Well now that burns because the socceroos will never kick a meaningful ball away from the east coast.

Apparently FFA would have made more money from hindmarsh but chose Allianz due to Sydneys travel commitments.

It doesn't bother me too much that it's being played in Sydney. I think we all knew it was going to be there.

They are in the cup final in consecutive years and played away last time. They have been the best team in the last 12 months so it is deserved.

The annoying thing is that we've had the harder road to the final.

Perhaps the system needs to be-

1. Whoever played the most HAL opponents hosts the final.
2. If equal, most away games played hosts the final.
3. If equal, Goal difference.

I think goal difference is only fair if #1 is equal.
