Yeah 6 weeks at least I’d reckon.

Might see Isa back there in the short term - midfield of Adlung, Lia and Matmour or Konst. However long term we are going to either need to sign an injury replacement or get Warland to step up.
Isaias is not tall enough or strong enough to play CB and does not seem to have the leap to compensate. He is a terrier and a hard tackler and a skilled ball player, but not a CB. It is Elsey with either Warland or Marrone. I would go with Warland, he has done well.

Have to give it to Warland. He's been on a senior contract at United since 2014, if he isn't deemed good enough to step in now when the first-choice CBs are ruled out then there's no point in having him at the club
All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

Gulum out with a broken rib and punctured lung.

Welcome Ben Warland...

I was going to ask what happened but I went looking.
Fark...
Scheisse.
Adelaide United wishes to advise defender, Ersan Gülüm, will be sidelined with a broken rib and associated pneumothorax (punctured lung) as a result of a challenge with Carl Valeri on Friday night’s clash with Melbourne Victory at Adelaide Oval.

Gülüm stayed down with the injury in the 78th minute of the Round 3 clash, but rose to continue the remainder of the match.

Gülüm will now see a respiratory specialist to plan his return to football.

He played on and finished the game.
Tough.

Warland in. He is a talented young lad and a confident and capable CB - he stepped in against MV last season away. We lost 2-1 and he played very well for his first full 90.

I agree.
We have to give youth a chance.

Any word if Warland travelled with the squad to Sydney?

Lia also out injured.

Knee injury worse than expected.

Good that we have midfield depth in Matmour, Konst and OD.

Yeah that looks good.
Looking at that bench, I think we're still travelling alright even with 3 big outs.

I don't think Baba is 100% fit yet, so Blackwood will start.
Adlung is available and will start in front of Konst.

Is Adung fit enough to play three games in a week?

I would not mind seeing Kitto at LB and O'Doherty starting.

Perhaps
Izzo
Marrone - Warland - Elsey - Kitto
Konstandopoulos - Isaias - Matmour
O'Doherty - Baba - Absalonsen

I would be looking to get Absalonsen off in the second half to give him some chance of being available for the City game, but if the game is tight he might still be needed.

hopefully Lias injury is more about managing niggles and prioritising the league rather than a genuine injury.
