Im going, actually havnt been to a game in ages.

While im not a fan of Adelaide Oval, my oppinion has changed a little sunce the city has become a vibrant place worth going to.

Pregame snacks in rundle mall or hindley , football , ending with a walk back across the torrens to a few micro bars and food at china town. Really is a great place to be theae days.

Anyway on to the game, hoping to see our strongest 11 start. No early goals this time thanks

I reckon go in unchanged.

Defensive steel with Lia, Adlung and Isa in midfield.

Bring on Matmour after half time once MV are all kicked out and on yellow cards.

Some O'Doherty mongrel wouldn't go astray in the midfield. He's one that may be able to weather the initial kick-fest.

This.

AO adds so much more to the game day experience IMO. A purpose built city stadium for us would be great.

Anyways onto the game, we mustnt concede an early goal again this week, you can only get away with it so many times. Baba to start would be the only change id make.

Expecting more of the same from muscats men with the hack down of opposition attacks.
Thinking a few goals both ways but should come out on top.
I'm a big no to the oval but going in as I need a football fix.

No doubt that everything else that comes with the oval is amazing. Its just the seating is too far away and doesn't incline steeply enough. I think it's hard to go to the Oval because Coopers view from nearly any seat is so much better in comparison.

If we could build an AAMI park right next to AO behind the western stand it would be the best located football ground in Australia. It'll never happen with this Labor government in charge though.

Baba in for Blackwood and Matmour in for Lia might be the only changes if they are fit.

I would love to see a rectangular stadium seating 35,000 right next to AO; but bpowell54 is right, though - it will never happen under our atrocious Labor government. I have inside knowledge of the Weatherill maladministration and I can state that the #2 oval, which is the practice cricket oval right behind the western grandstand, was earmarked as the warm up athletics track for a future Commonwealth Games - except that Jay Weatherwanker baulked at paying $2m to set up a CG office in order to bid for the 2026 or 2030 Games. (He could find an incredible $550m to cover up for his party's continual power cockups though). So now we have the worst of both worlds - we don't have a rectangular stadium for soccer and rugby in the city and nor do we have a Commonwealth Games bid.

Anyone who feels like voting Labor at the next election should give himself an uppercut and have a good hard look at himself.

Good.

Anyway, let's smash them.

James Donachie is out which is good for us.

Means Victory will have a makeshift back four.

Surely Deng will come in, he has talent. I thought Broxham did quite well at LB, Geria is okay at RB and Williams is a good CB. It would have been a very big blow Williams and Donachie were both out.

It's weird, Victory have a lot of good players but they have a lot of rubbish as well, plus their squad of hitmen like Broxham, Williams & Valeri.
Ingham and Austin are bog average, so long as our fullbacks are wary of their speed they should be pretty easy to nullify (Leroy George on the other hand looks quality).
If Troisi is playing well he's one of the best in the league, but he's just as likely to be a passenger.
I'm most concerned about the Barbarouses - Berisha linkup tbh.

I want to see us lineup like this:

Izzo
Marrone-Gulum-Elsey-Garuccio
Lia-Isa-Adlung
Johan-Baba-Mileusnic

Bench:
Blackwood
Konstand
Matmour
Kitto
Margush

Matmour to come on at 60 minutes. Kitto at 70.

I'll be there. Hoping to bring my son along too. (He flies in just in time.)

I don't mind Adel Oval as long as I get the seats I want. Third tier, Western stand, level with the penalty area - I reckon they give the a decent view.

For those who refuse to ever go to AO - you really missed something special in that Grand Final win. The atmosphere was as good as anything I've experienced (Rugby League, AFL, Hindmarsh), except for the Australia-Uruguay WC qualifier in Sydney.

Certainly Diawarra is at a different level compared to Blackwood, but if his fitness won't see him play 90 minutes then I'd let Blackwood take the kicks in the legs early on and chase down every ball, then bring Diawarra on for the last 30-40 minutes.

You guys have a fair point with matmour coming on at the 60th.

Would only amplify our fitness.

I think a conservative first 20 minutes wpuld be a good idea
