Preview: AUFC v Victory 15.10.17
We are off to Adelaide Oval which will bring the expected groan from the fans, however we are going with a spring in our step which will bring some cheer.
Victory had their shin-kicking boots on against City and I am expecting them to channel their inner Muscat and deliver more of the same on Friday.
In all we should be too much for a Victory side high on thuggery and low on confidence. Let's just hope we don't cop any injuries on the way to three points which will hopefully consign Victory to the cellar for some time to come.

More of the same from our FFA cup game against them please. Dont forget they were full strength and we were without a few players that game too.
Lets pile on the pain for them and hopefully Muscat will lose his job this season.... although he would be straight into the foxsports team and we'll have to see even more of the flog.

So who's actually going? I don't really feel like going to a game at AO unless its a finals game.

Given our lads are getting to know eachother i thought three points in the first three games would be a solid start.
F-that, we should start favourites here.
Does Matmour come back in?

I can't wait to to see the mighty AUFC grind the Filth into the hallowed turf of AO. A 3 nil our way is par; anything above that is a bonus.
I am fully expecting the Filth hackers to try to kick the crap out of Absalonsen, Adlung and Isa; we can only hope that the referee - whoever it is - has a spine and starts showing the Filth the cards. He won't of course; but we can hope.

Concerned about the crowd figure.
Can’t see us getting any more than 25k to the oval so it will sound like a graveyard.
The win on the weekend was crucial to generate some interest for this game so hopefully people come out in droves but I just don’t see it happening.

Had the club asked for this game to be played at AO or did the FFA make the decision?
I can't remember how the decision was made.
Chicken or egg?

I’d honestly have no problem us playing there if we could get 30k plus but anything less is dead IMO.

The club signed a 3 year deal to play 1 victory game and all major finals at Adelaide Oval. I think this is the 3rd year of the deal.Had the club asked for this game to be played at AO or did the FFA make the decision?
I can't remember how the decision was made.

Thank you both for the information.
Hopefully they can play all future "home" games at Hindmarsh.

I highly doubt I will be going to Adelaide Oval ever. I have good memories of what it was like going to cricket there when I was younger and I don't really want to know what it looks like now.
We should be favourites and we should win as they are struggling and we are doing okay. More of the same from the second half but with Matmour providing more attacking drive hopefully. Please no more of the awful long balls that marred the first half in Brisbane.

I definitely would be going but work is sending me off to Brisbane for the week (of course not last week where I could have stayed and watched) and I'll be flying back while the match is on.
I guess I might be able to see a couple of seconds and the score as I fly past
Really looking forward to finally (touch wood) seeing the team in the flesh against city.

I cant help but think 17K packed in Hindmarsh, would give us a huge advantage. Ah well AO it is.
Blackwood with the first, early goal and Isa with a free kick. 2-0.

Of course I would prefer to be at Hindmarsh, but it's a Reds game so I'll be there.
(also as a member I've already paid for the game so I'd be daft not to).
Rhys Williams should have got a red and rubbed out for this game for maiming Malik, but the video assistant ref bottled the decision because it happened too early on in the derby. What's the point of the fkn VAR if they're just going to make the politically expedient call rather than the correct one in the end anyway.

All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.
