From a Melbourne Victory supporter, sums it up well and souns like less than usual will be heading over due to AO.

Whilst complaining about venues is nothing new, this rivalry was built on days of madness at Hindmarsh at the start of the A-League. Unlike other rivalry games at the SFS, Olympic Park or Etihad where there is massive separation between home fans, away fans and the pitch, Hindmarsh was the one where they are all thrown in on top of each other.
The chaos in the overfilled bays, over the fence celebrations with players and the shit banter thrown between fans made this game one for the fans.
Adelaide Oval genuinely ruins everything about this fixture.

Yeah agree it’s going to be a weak crowd.
I can see less than 20k on current estimates - you can buy 10 seats together in any bay in the ground.
I’m guessing the crowd we get tomorrow would fit into Hindmarsh.
Will be a bad look.

We only have around 5,500 and I think the PAX number includes members.I wonder if that number is +7000 or so ticketed membersI am going to say there would be panic stations down at AUFC.Can anyone buying a ticket take note of the PAX number?
PAX 11500
General Admission seat 6500

Yeah I've posted it before. From speaking to victory supporters they avoid the oval game. No atmosphere and they are so isolated they hate it. No banter to look forward to, just a lonely spot miles from the game and any other supporter.

hopefully the club listens, and doesn't agree to continue the Oval deal (for regular season games at least).
Hindmarsh is our home and always should be.

All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

Pretty confident they will as it will be hurting the bottom line.hopefully the club listens, and doesn't agree to continue the Oval deal (for regular season games at least).

Apart from the very first game at the new AO a few seasons back when we got 33k (which is passable), we’ve been dwindling ever since (GF excluded).
I think the Brisbane Roar final there we pulled 19k which is a joke.
I reckon this Victory game will be our last attempt to see if our biggest fixture can pull a crowd.
Less than 25k and we won’t be back at the Oval unless we make another GF.

I think a grand final and a final against Victory and maybe a final against Sydney would be the only times playing at Adelaide Oval can be justified.

Family commitments mean I had to choose this week or next.

More Victory fans would travel if it was a Saturday night. Friday night matches generally don't do away fans any favours, especially those working full time.

Mr.Berisha is looking even more combustible this season I believe.

Found the membership details and can't get into this game with my membership. me and the guys are now watching this at home with a BBQ. If only full season members can attend expect that crowd estimate to decline further. Most of the people I know with memberships are 8 game members and we all just realized we can't get in.

Looking on Ticketek, the whole top tier of the Eastern stand is not for sale.
In previous games, that whole section was open.
This is going to be a very, very small crowd.
