Diawara changed the game. Within minutes we had structure and purpose going forward.
Kitto was subbed on at just the right time for tonight.
What a hit by Absalonsen though!

We have some real winners on our team.
Isa, Adlung, Johan, Gulum look like real fighters who want and know they can win.
We are gunna go all right this season.

I've really liked Blackwood's form up until this game but Baba is someone that is much better at bringing others into the play. Good to have competition in the number 9 position for once!

I think they are referring to his transfer fee. His chinese club payed 10 million for him 1 year ago, for a 2 year contract. Hence 5 million a year. His wage would be nowhere near that otherwise we could never afford him.But all of the wages of a loan player are counted even if not paid by the A-league club.We are paying an iota of that - the Chinese club just want him off their books, even if they’re paying for him.If Gulum is on 5 million a year he must a marquee.
Good second half display. Baba changed the game for sure, gave the attack a focal point and maybe drew more attention from the defenders to allow more space for the wingers. Kosta coming on for Lia was really good too, I'd rather see more of him or Odoherty and less of Lia. Kitto made a fantasic impact and was involved in both goals along with Marrone (both indirectly from throw ins). I like Kitto much more as an impact player than a starter but I'm happy for him and Niko to fight to make RW theirs.
Nothing better than stealing all the points away from home in the last minutes.

Sounds like they mixed up transfer fee and wage because they clearly said he was earning five million a year.I think they are referring to his transfer fee. Ross is a scumbag! So glad we got the points. Having a go a Ramallo on the sidelines, the man he punched last season.
Our first half was really average. But we dominanted the second and I would have been disappointed not to get ateast a point. 3 points is massive!
Brisbane will struggle this year.
We will only improve and have competition for spots which is great.
Looking forward to next week.

How ****ing fit are we too.
Fitness and desire won that game. A team who had a day less and 3 times the travel. Johan is a very smart player and Gulum is stupidly good for this league

If Brisbane can get Holman back in the starting lineup and Kristensen and the french winger in the side they could still do okay, not in the top few but still finals. Maccarone will not score a massive amount of goals but should get 10-15.Ross is a scumbag! So glad we got the points. Having a go a Ramallo on the sidelines, the man he punched last season.

I only managed to get the highlights (currently in the middle of the Pacific), however it is good to see us finishing so strongly after two away games.

Without Djite we really lacked leadership last year.
To see Gulum pull the boys in for a word straight after the whistle was really pleasing, they look focused and ready to achieve this year.
Just hope local youth like O'Doherty can get a look in soon....

Konstandopoulos is a local lad and he is getting time off the bench. I want O'Doherty to get time as well and it should come, perhaps take a few game. I think they are both a more useful option off the bench than Lia and if Matmour comes back in next week Lia should drop out. I would leave him out completely.
The other question is are we really going to continue without a defender on the bench? Seems a bit crazy.

Was interestesting watching Kurz with the players after the game. Seems to have quite a good relationship with them and comes across as a leader of men.
Also noticed when we scored the equaliser the team celebrated in the corner but Isaias comes running in from midfield to retrieve the ball to chase a winner , great captain

Marco said in his post-match that he always goes for the win, he never settles for a draw.
An interesting stat is passes completed. So far this looks, on average, to be lower than previous years and reflects the Marco Kurz approach.
