Preview: Roar vs AUFC 13-10-17

Just watched Marco’s prematch presser.
Said the reason for Baba being unused was that George was there day 1 of preseason and Baba came later and is not quite ready for 90 minutes.
First off he said he was stoked to have two very good strikers in the squad.
He also mentioned that Adlung and Johan both needed subbing (Adlung unfit and Johan had a stomach bug before the game). Obviously the Elsey sub also.
He said he likes Baba and when fully fit he will be very useful to the squad and be able to battle for the starting berth.

It will be interesting whether Adlung holds his position or Lia comes into the starting XI. I would play Adlung.

Just watched the presser, the comments about Baba make sense. With Johan being sick and then Regan injured the opportunity was not really there to bring him on. Still he is not going to get match fit if he does not get some time on field, 30 minutes tonight would be a good start, but the game situation might not give the opportunity again. Hopefully Blackwood scores and then Baba comes on and scores.

Yeah it was a good response. Never felt we got good explanations from Gui or Josep about why they made certain decisions but Kurz seems to be different.

He almost returned that approval with a goal. The save from the Nix keeper was very smart. Hopefully he can get on the board soon in the HAL. He's clearly good enough in my books.
