Re: FFA Semi: WSW vs AUFC
why is there such a big gap from the QF's to the SF's?
surely this reduces the chance a NPL team can cause a cupset, as they are further into their offseason
&
wouldn't it be more beneficial for a-league clubs to have as many competitive games leading into the season as possible?
this benefits everyone yeah?

Yeah good point, although then the FFA Cup is basically over before the HAL season starts.why is there such a big gap from the QF's to the SF's?

Once again the FFA's seeming obsession with clubs playing as little as possible creates issues.
Time to Djbate!

We get an extra days rest but must play away.
FFA will be hoping for a WSW win so everything will be stacked against us.
Hopefully Baba returns and with him, Matmour, Konst, Kitto, OD & Ochieng we have some quality fresh legs available.
I reckon the boys can get it done.

We certainly need Baba back as Blackwood ran himself into the ground on Friday and is unlikely to have the legs to see out the Semi.

Hopefully Baba is fit and can play up front.
Perhaps Kitto will be at LB again.

Big loss as we have already lost our other experienced CB.Gulum out with a broken rib and punctured lung.
Welcome Ben Warland...
How long is a broken rib and punctured lung? 8, 10 weeks?
The defense is looking a little shaky now.
We are UNITED, after all....

Simple fracture 4-6 weeks from my research but obviously we don't know the severity of the break.Big loss as we have already lost our other experienced CB.Gulum out with a broken rib and punctured lung.

Re: Preview: FFA Cup Semi vs WSW 24-10-17
Yeah 6 weeks at least I’d reckon.
Might see Isa back there in the short term - midfield of Adlung, Lia and Matmour or Konst. However long term we are going to either need to sign an injury replacement or get Warland to step up.
