Mayer resigns?

Mayer resigns?
I’m worried.
Apparently Steve Trigg has been told to resign from Carlton (AFL). He was the shambolic Adelaide Crows CEO during the Kurt Tippet saga (google it).
Apparently he’ll return to live in SA. Just hope he steers clear of the Reds.

Re: Mayer resigns?
Interesting that it says "exclusive licence in South Australia". Does that mean any second Adelaide bid (assuming it was a viable bid with financial backing and support) wouldn't be able to enter the competition due to our exclusive licence or is that phrase only implying that we have no local competitor for the time being?

Re: Mayer resigns?
Considering the potential second div has no official FFA backing I’d say this is something that is technically true until it’s not.Interesting that it says "exclusive licence in South Australia". Steven Trigg is perhaps the most mediocre human to have walked the earth. Very, very hard pass.

I believe it is the same "exclusive licence" that Sydney and Melbourne Victory both held.Interesting that it says "exclusive licence in South Australia". i know zero about Trigg except that he comes from the AFL. No thanks.
All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

Re: Mayer resigns?
Trigg turned the Crows from one of the biggest clubs to an also ran that needed a bail out from the AFL, gave them heavy sanctions due to a pointless salary cap violation and was blindsided by the Adelaide Oval development and negotiated a poor deal as a result, (and left the club with a bunch of white elephant investments at Football Park too.)
At Carlton he took over when they were at rock bottom and they seem to have a slight upward incline to their path now. But also he's been involved in multiple public gaffs.
I would be worried enough if there was an open interview and he won on merit. To 'headhunt' him seems to be a level above worrying though, and completely ignorant of his record.
