20 min Nice play down the left gets Garuccio free but he mucks up his cross.
Then Izzo was forced into a save.
Melbourne still on top

Decent crowd?

Expect more mucked up crosses from Garrucio all season. Must be replaced

There are plenty of options on the bench for Kurz to choose from.Expect more mucked up crosses from Garrucio all season. Must be replaced

Decent chance there with a header hitting the crossbar.
We seem to have no middle at the moment- blackwood, lia and konsta are not up to scratch.
Half time.

Not sure what to make of that half.
We're definitely more defensive under Kurz.
Neither team had many good chances so both defences seem pretty comfortable.
They dominated possession but we were happy for them to have it. We won't play with the ball as much this year.
Lia looks a bit off the pace and Blackwood has been caught flat footed a few times.
Crosses from Garuccio and Marrone have been rubbish although our counter attacking has looked okay apart from the final ball (as always).
But the team is still gelling and we have at least two first-11 players on the bench and more signings to come.
I'm positive without being excited.

That header looping in would have been handy!
Fairly even half both sides had opportunities to score.
AU aren't super organised in the middle. Lia and Konstand aren't up to speed with Isaias I feel.
But the ball is still getting to the wings and we just need to see another good cross and we're in business.

feel like our fitness is what got us back into the game.
our chances came from hard work not from playing the ball.
an awful lot of speculative long balls to blackwood, ok i suppose we dont have a strong 11 tonight but i hope its not a regular fixture to our game.
crowd looks sold out ghostly! they only sold seated tickets i beleive and many people prefer to stand on the concrete thus there may be some empty seats but i expect its been a sell out

remember we have gulum baba and matmour all out of the 11, these are players you would expect to be good on the ball and find that extra space in their positions so im still hopeful we will be a ball playing side with those additions

That's a good point. On paper that's a lot of quality off the park.remember we have gulum baba and matmour all out of the 11, these are players you would expect to be good on the ball and find that extra space in their positions so im still hopeful we will be a ball playing side with those additions

Plus a 5th foreigner. That's a good point. Keeping with our previous philosophy of all foreigners playing in the first 11, that's arguably 4 starting players out (Baba, Gulum, Matmour, Visa5).
Victory are at full strength.
