Purchasing a membership
Just wondering where everyone is sitting on this.
If I don't, it would be the first season since 07/08 season that I haven't.

Re: Purchasing a membership
Apparently the last option is a real thing. Someone on the RA page claims to have rang and cancelled their 3 year membership and the club refunded them.

I have a lot to sort out so I have not bought a membership yet, I most likely will but not until a lot closer to the season.

Re: Purchasing a membership
I won't be considering this until the club has made its player signings and I have some clue about what direction the club is taking. I'm not going to tip my hard earnt into supporting Griffin, Ante and Mayer with the way they are conducting themselves, I just can't do it anymore. I'd only be getting a 3 gamer to start with in any case, because if its the same rubbish as last season, I doubt I'll attend more than 3 games!

Gold reserved member for 6 seasons. Didn't renew. Might get a GA membership or 8-9 game if things around the club improve. I'm in no rush to decide, normally I renew immediately. My brother is the same.

I'm gonna stick out my 3 years. I have hope. Sending positive vibes to Hindmarsh.

I'm going to renew. I am a masochist and I'm in it for the long run.
All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

Re: Purchasing a membership
Being a fan means being there. Bought mine, bought my son's. I'll probably be a member until they shut the doors - or I do!
Re: Purchasing a membership
Bought mine. Red GA.
If I step back a little I can see it is still something I enjoy attending with friends. $20 or so per game is good value entertainment for me.
We have a coach who I am excited about and that was my criteria to sign on.

Yep, that's it. I have been there through some pretty dismal times at Hindmarsh, makes the good times so much sweeter!

Re: Purchasing a membership
Don't get me wrong, I still support the players and I'm still keen to go to the games live but I just don't want to be a member while the club is in shambles. They don't listen to fan's concerns, GG says there is no disconnect between the club and fans, so the only way I feel I can make my feelings known is by not renewing my membership.
I'm actually really pumped to get down to Marden and see the new coach and see how we play. Its the off field implosions that are putting me off the club and just the general feeling that we are being run by amateurs who only care about the bottom line.
Basically the only reason I would get the GA or 9 game membership is to save money on buying tickets weekly.

Yeah exactly. I don't think anyone thinking twice about renewing is feeling that way purely because the side had a lousy year last year.Don't get me wrong, I still support the players and I'm still keen to go to the games live but I just don't want to be a member while the club is in shambles.
