Honestly I'd rather sacrifice a home game and play it in the NT, (assuming the NT government were happy to pay a fee which they did for us to play a friendly there ) than have a game at adelaide oval unless it's a grand final.

At least in the NT it's an awesome road trip or even train ride for a unique game for dedicated fans

Hey Phil, how come you didn't deface the other club logos like WSW did? :p

Hilarious that the FFA think that playing each other team twice in the first 18 rounds and each team once in the last nine (The Chase - wtf?) is somehow innovative and revolutionary.

Each season gets more and more "manufactured" I'm beginning to think the NSL bitters may just be right with the "plastic" jibes.

I'll be getting the 8 game "membership" this year (previously gold since inception of the league) as its all I can raise the enthusiasm for.
Same boat. Gold member for 5 seasons, was thinking of getting a GA membership this time but will probably just get an 8 game flexi because I wont go to the AO game and there's probably a couple of others I won't get to this season.

“It’s up to us as a club to try to generate as much interest as possible and try to get that crowd well over 20,000.”

Well its nice to hear that the club knows it's their responsibility to generate as much interest in this fixture as possible.
This does highlight that the club doesn't listen to their fans as often as they should. I'd hate to see a terrible crowd turn up, but maybe a terrible crowd will wake the club up to the fact that their plans and what the fans want, are more and more often becoming two very different things.

I'm sure Adelaide Oval, the FFA and Fox want the game played at AO. There are probably financial benefits to it.
But Hindmarsh is our home and always will be as far as I'm concerned, flogging off our most important fixture of the season is just not on.
(I would feel very differently if there were 2 Victory games in Adelaide, with one still at the Marsh)

Odd that they'd go to the effort of re-designing all the other club's logos?

Given the feeling around the club having the first home game and third game of the season at AO is a recipe for disaster. Perhaps if the team wins the first two away games then there will be a bit of excitement around the club but I am expecting less than 20000 to attend. If there has to be an AO game then it should be later in the season when there is a lot more of a chance of getting a large crowd. The best scenario would be if we and Victory are top 2 or 3 at mid season or later when I am sure we would get a much larger crowd despite the unpopularity of AO
Of course we have only 1 home game against Victory and it is in the third round. Maybe the club asked for the home game against Victory to be at AO without knowing that it would be in the 3rd round.

If the red army choose to sit elsewhere other than the home active area and leave a banner " not our home game " it would be the start of a good message tovthe club.

Excellent idea unless they had to buy two seats.

They probably spent just as much time as AU did designing it....
