I was quite impressed with Babalj. He got into excellent positions and was a decent threat. I felt he was unlucky not to score, I gave him a vote in fact.
He's getting up to speed with the fact the AU striker MUST be able to hold the ball up. I think Amor was very happy with his performance. I was disappointed to see him subbed so early but once I thought about it I did notice him beginning to slow down so it was a good call.
Considering that was his 5th game (and first start) since major knee surgery I think the signs are good for him, I'd be happy to see him offered another year I think with a full pre-season under his belt he could be a valuable addition.
I just hope the club offers him every chance of success with a contract soon so he can focus on getting fit and firing. If the club still has 10 signings to make half way thru pre-season we can safely write next season off too.

Babalj. His first half was good. If he can build on that the team can work around him. Should have scored.
But he is Plan B, not starting striker.
Better than Guardiola.

Keep him in the squad as a backup for Diawara or whomever else we have.

Marino - if he falls into favour and it was Marino or Babalj I'd keep Marino. Younger fitter faster, but who knows why he never gets a run.

My Votes - Eugene, McGree, Isaias.

My guess would be that Marino doesn't provide the hold up play needed to be an AU striker. I think if he's to continue with the club he needs to work on getting a gig on the wing.

Im surprised he didnt get a run at RW at some stage. Must be an attitude issue.
