There were some good performances, particularly in transition. Marrone, McGowan (for his defensive work - though the goal was nice) and Baba for me. Mileusnic was busy as well however just didn't quite have the final product.

Yeah I was happy with Mileusnic, I think he's really starting to find his feet at HAL level. Considering the standard of his delivery into the area at the start of the season IMO it's clear he's improving. There were some good performances, particularly in transition. Marrone, McGowan (for his defensive work - though the goal was nice) and Baba for me. Mileusnic was busy as well however just didn't quite have the final product.
I can safely say the club has officially found Bruce's replacement. Baba is a different player to Bruce as he was more physical, but Baba's control and ability to find player in a good area is extremely impressive. I also can't believe AU have a player that scores with their hand regularly!
What did people feel about Makarounas' game? I think considering he has had very limited chances this year I felt he contributed well. I think if he can build on that performance, continue to work hard and get into positions of value the club will have something to work with here.
Obviously he's not as flashy as Carrusca but if he can at least replicate the basics that Carrusca does well then why not offer him more of an opportunity?
The key for me is whether he can get on the ball and complete more passes into the area and be the extra player making a later run into the area so the wingers can cut the ball back to somewhere between the top of the area and the penalty spot so he can take a relatively get-able chance. I think considering his age and experience there is a lot still to work with.
