A lot of talk lately relating to Carusca so I thought he deserved his own thread.

I'll start it off with I believe Carusca has had a woeful season this year. This has reflected in his admission from the ACL squad and this weeks game against WSW.
Rumors are he is unhappy with been left out. My response to this is "Carusca this is your own fault, if you had performed in previous games you would have been selected."
To me Carusca is past his use by date. Once a great player but not anymore. Does Carusca still know how to play. Of course he does but knowing how to play and playing are two different things. The game is getting quicker and players need to do more.
I thank Carusca for his wonderful service but just like Flore's it's time for Carusca to go.

Change Carusca's nameand add almost any of the senior players and you could say the exact same thing. Woeful describes the entire season. No mention of the club selling off/ giving away half of the team and replacing none adequetely as a reason for his poor form? I mean putting Mells/ Makarounas/ Holland alongside him hardly provided him with support did it......

It is Carusca that is unhappy about not been in the ACL spot. If he played well enough he would be in the squad. Also it is Carusca that seems might be on the way out and therefore warrants the discussion on whether that is a good or bad thing. I no-longer rate Carusca any better than anyone else in his position. I think he is replaceable at a lot lower wages.

I'd love to know the real reason he has been left out, he would've been handy against a tired Wanderers side.

Our club don't tend to handle player exits terribly well IMO

It was rumored he was very pissed off after our last game as him and Marino had to head home and the team went straight to the ACL. Definitely ill feelings as many of us have been there where we get dropped but think we are better than the ones selected. Also very hard to swallow that you have been left out when the team is playing so poorly.
One thing I'll say, in previous years when Carrusca was out the team suffered. This year Carrusca been in or out has made no difference. In fact I reckon I would lean on the side of us playing better.
I love Carrusca but I also loved Flores. I would not take neither at the moment. Even Carrusca as a squady I would struggle to pick. It's time to move on especially after such a poor season. We need to persist with our better youths and bring in some talent to support them further.

So because I have an opinion that you don't agree with it's tripe. So does anyone here think Carrusca deserved to go to the ACL ahead of the other foreigners? Does anyone here believe AUFC should re-sign him next season. Let's here your opinions rather than your attacks on me.
