Possibly by giving the Slippery Fish a bit more time to recover. I wouldn't mind seeing McGree start.

AU might actually be a chance this week. For possibly the first time this season we're talking about which players are coming in over which players the club has lost to injury.
Marrone is a chance of being included. As mentioned it would be interesting to see how Garuccio goes on the wing if Marrone starts.
I think Henrique isn't ready for a start considering how cactus he looked at the end of the game on Saturday.
But O'Doherty will be available also who has done nothing but impress me this season.
I'm not sure how much I like Holland in the DM role. He was caught in possession a number of times on the weekend. Maybe switching he and Isaias could be beneficial.

Surely Marino gets a look in this week with a hat trick?

We need that second option if sergi can't impose himself.Surely Marino gets a look in this week with a hat trick?

I'm going to be honest I've been disappointed in Sergi lately. He gets into good positions but often holds the ball too long and burns the ball 90% of the time

IMO the weekend was an improvement for him. He was more willing to share the ball around. Like the squad generally they are slowing getting to where they need to be.I'm going to be honest I've been disappointed in Sergi lately. Galeckovic
Marrone-Mcgowan-Bob-Elrich
Holland
Isiais-Carrusca
Guardiola-Marino-Garuccio
Hall
O'doherty
Henrique
Reagan
Kitto
I'd even consider dropping holland to the bench, bringing isiais back to cdm and playing either O'doherty or kitto as a box to box mid.
I know the bench is winger heavy but if Marrone can't pull 90 mins then Garuccio could drop back etc.

Him not being on the bench last week may have cost us the game.Surely Marino gets a look in this week with a hat trick?
Marino to score a hatty on his AU debut and never look back!

If Guardiola, Henrique, Carrusca couldn't beat the Sydney defence, I don't know whether Marino could have either. Would have loved to see him as an option though.
All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

If amor thinks marino is not up to it im more than happy to take his word for it given his experience in both senior and youth football.
Hopefully marino can pick his game up and continue scoring in youth league. However given amor has put kids much younger than marino in position he could have filled ( and these kids were played out of position ) it is fairly damning.
Oh and yes i do realise marino is predominantly a cf, however he has played wide for city.
As a year year old cf however he was always going to need patience when playing second fiddle to a visa striker. Im sure his time will come as 20 is quite young for a cf imo.
Ppl who slap the label of truth on the 1st thing they hear, do it out of ignorance, convenience or cant be bothered picking through a thin layer of falsehood to find the real truth, or possibly even another lie

I like Sergi and expect him to really come into his own over the second half of the season. But I have been wrong before.

Guardiola has the skills, easily has the skills, to be an excellent A-league striker, but I am not sure he has the judgement of when to try and use his skills to do the spectacular and when to keep things simple. This may be because he is still learning the way we play but it might also be because he is not willing to learn.
He did lay the ball off well a few times on the weekend.
My team would be, if Marrone is passed fit to play
...................Galekovic
Marrone - McGowan - La Rocca - Garuccio
...................Isaias
..............McGree - Carrusca
Elrich............Guardiola.............O'Doherty
Bench: Hall, Regan, Holland, Kitto, Marino

I like the idea of pushing Elrich forward so that when Marrone is cactus he can drop back and Kitto can slot in.
