And mine.Yep, has my vote.x 1000.Sturt's Desert Pea is fantastic (symbolically and graphically). No idea why Bank SA got rid of it.
Would love to see it incorporated.

A magpie that reminds everyone of a crow. You could be on to something there...I started this particular concept last year when this topic came up. My photoshopping skills aren't that great, so I kinda put it to the side for a while until now.
This is just a concept if we wanted to go for a more roundel logo. The font is from our current badge, which looks horrible IMO and it could also be a tad smaller, but just for the sake of trying to transfer something from the old badge to the new I used this font.
I'm sure a pro graphic designer would do a 100% better, but just as a concept it works well.
It keeps reminding me of the Crows which I'm not too happy with. I might give it another go tomorrow, maybe even attempt a traditional shield type badge.
Just another name for magpie im pretty sure.Piping Shrike isn't it?
Correct. I'll add it to my list.Just another name for magpie im pretty sure.Piping Shrike isn't it?
Red definitely needs to feature more than i had in my badge. I used the official state colours but if not used properly it just looks like a state team logo or something for the Adelaide Crows. We've all grown with the current logo, but as the club matures and as we mature as fans, it's definitely time for a positive and fresh change.
I'd definitely support a logo change and can try my hand at putting something together also. Can we please list all the elements we want in it?
- Red to be the dominant colour, with some black, then yellow and blue.
- Change of font.
- But keep key elements in place.
- 'Classical' look: i.e. a circular shape or something more symmetrical.
- Incorporate Sturt's Desert Pea.
I like some of the Italian oval badge designs as well which i think would give a unique look for an Australian club.I quite like your badge, but can see where you're coming from. It'll be a positive challenge to not overdesign it. I'm no graphic design expert, but I do enjoy whipping stuff up occasionally. Sometimes I'll hit a brainwave and do something great.
Basically I'll put mine around a few key principles: not too many images, if any at all; not too busy and a proportionate colour scheme. I'll probably use Canva.com to put it together.
Why would it be offensive?I kinda like 1836 appearing somewhere on the coat of arms as a parochial south aussie.
Although it coukd be somewhat offensive to some and i totally understand.
I guess similar reasons to why some people do not like Australian Day.Why would it be offensive?I kinda like 1836 appearing somewhere on the coat of arms as a parochial south aussie.
