I am not going to the grand final at this stage, a pity in some ways but there is a whole list of reasons.
We should be considered large favourites, we are in great form, it is at home, we have our best team available, we have the extra days rest. All that is needed is to execute the game plan as has been happening and we will win.

Any news as to whether we will get to train on the Oval? The surface moves a little quicker than Coopers which sometimes sees us misjudge passes, especially over-hitting the longer balls.

There will hopefully and surely be familiarisation sessions at the very least.Any news as to whether we will get to train on the Oval? The surface moves a little quicker than Coopers which sometimes sees us misjudge passes, especially over-hitting the longer balls.

Lets hope brisbane make it to the gf because lets be honest....no one wants 5k of the rbb in adelaide. Im sure there are some great people but the overall perception of the rbb is not super positive.
That and we will have almost every vl turbo in the country by this point lol

Aussie rules doesn't tear up the turf like Rugby does and the worst affected areas are in the goal squares, which will be outside the playing area on Sunday anyway

The grass will be a lot longer than we are used to. Will affect the way we play for sure

Watching the Port game tonight, those ugly strips that were there for the Socceroos game don't seem to have meshed in with the rest yet. Hopefully the ball plays true but it doesn't look good.

I reckon they will mow it shorter for the final.

Does anyone know if AFL play on longer or shorter grass than we do for football?
I knew it was an issue with cricket because they like it shorter than we do. If they play with it longer then they can cut it the day before to the same as coopers.

If they cut the grass prior to the match then it makes training on it to get used to the surface a little pointless. However there are other reasons to train on it prior to the game.Does anyone know if AFL play on longer or shorter grass than we do for football?
