A must win game, but CCM are terrible, so we will do it.

Our last regular season home game (the last home game will be the grand final victory) so hopefully a good crowd despite Easter and the Socceroo's game.

Critical game really. The lads need to get their scoring boots back on.

The club tweeted chelo will be back.

Sounds like his injury was more of a precaution and the game off was to get his body right.

It definitely is a game where we need to get back into our stride. I am assuming Elrich is still out.

If Elrich is out I hope Goody stays at LB and we don't see Elsey come back in.

Elsey or La Rocca to partner McGowan?
Both have impressed and played well. Not sure who I would go with, but leaning towards Elsey simply because La Rocca provides more flexibility off the bench.

I get the feeling Amor sees McGowan and La Rocca as AUs first choice pairing.
Elsey has been excellent this season but he's still susceptible to rash challenges.

I agree, McGowan and La Rocca are Amor's preferred pairing.

Apparently Elrich will be back next week, so I've heard. Chelo back is crucial. Any word on Pablo?

Obviously a must win game but I hope we don't take the Mariners lightly. They have nothing to play for and get Garcia and Austin back this week so this won't be a walkover IMO.

We need to be very good at the back, they have good players up front who can expose sloppy defence. However overall they lack quality.

Biggest improvement under Amor has been our defensive structure. Not only the back four but the midfield pressure and the front three getting back to close lines.

Yeah, we have the best defensive record in the league. This is despite being belted for the first 8 games.

Looking at our mini slump ( mostly due to injuries ) we have only conceded one goal in 2 games.

Considering how tight the season is I really can't see AU taking this game lightly at all.

Another important fact about this game. A point will mathematically guarantee AU a place in the finals.
