I understand, I'm not really sure how more simple they could be made "Sha la la A U F C" that's all the words.that wasnt the point of what i was saying.
I was meaning, to include more people & engaging for the rest of the supporters, it should be extended a bit.
More for the people who go every week.. that do know the chants, that want to get involved but don't.
As for length its up to the entire crowd to sing it, you're not going to see everyone singing the exact same thing for 10 mins straight people will get bored, plus everyone is actually watching the game and reacting to that as well. If a chant is able to go on more than 30 seconds then the game must be pretty dull. Also to bring other parts of the ground into it they all have their chant where they point to one of the other stands doing their "Adelaide!" "United!" which works really well and I love.
I've only attended around 10 games in the last 4-5 seasons due to work and living away from Adelaide and I'm pretty up to speed with the chants. Its just a matter of if people care enough about it to want to learn the chants, sit near the Red Army so you can hear them clearly. I don't really feel its RA's responsibility to give atmosphere to every corner of the ground. People who sit in the Southern stand are allowed to cheer and chant as well.
I get what you're saying and I understand you're not having a dig at the RA or anything but I feel its not just the couple of hundred that sit in the active area who are responsible for the atmosphere of the entire stadium, there are 11k other people there week in week out who need to contribute as well.
