Red Army were great yesterday, capo went up into the northern stand to get people going and it worked, well done.
You shoulda seen the smile on Glenn's (capo) face at the end. He (and us) have wanted that opportunity from the crowd to interact like that for AGES. It's been fantastic to see as the boys have laid it out all on the park of late. It's something we hope to build on week by week and to keep this run going.

Incidentally, the "Sha la la, AUFC" chant seems to have taken off amongst the general crowd. Walking back to my car at AEC and there was a family in the lift with me, with the little ones singing it as they left.

-N
I had that chant in my head all of last week! Every time I realised I was singing it I couldn't wipe the smile off my face! Sha la la lala lalaaa! AUFC! So good!
My 10 year old niece and I were singing it on our way home through the streets of Perchtoldsdorf last Saturday night.
We love it!

Geez a few fireworks on FN last night. Nothing like some good old finger pointing to get everyone offside.

Some of Olympic's banners have gone missing. The Red Army were blamed without a shred of evidence it seems.

Doesn't seem to be the RA's style :/ I would be shocked if anyone from the RA was involved in that sort of foolishness.

Well it appears the allegations were false. Hopefully its a lesson to those people that you can't just point fingers at groups of people and accuse them of being guilty by association.

The "internet" never learns these lessons.

It was a little kid who ran onto the pitch twice to fetch his ball (he and his mates were kicking it about near the canteen and one of them must be Ruben Zadkovich's nephew or something).

Release the CCTV footage, ABE. Won't find shit.

I thought it was in regard to a player jumping the fence and not paying to get in ?

I had some feedback from some first timers from the GF that the sha la la chant didnt go for long enough, by the time the other parts of the crowd caught on it was finishing up.

Bit of a different story with Adelaide oval and 50k. But i think next year we'll see a bit more involvement from the rest of the crowd, and maybe should consider extending the shalala chant

I guess if they are first timers how are they going to know the songs?
Tell those first timers that if they care so much about the chants, then come along to more games at Hindmarsh and the Red Army will be happy to run them through them I'm sure!

that wasnt the point of what i was saying.

I was meaning, to include more people & engaging for the rest of the supporters, it should be extended a bit.

More for the people who go every week.. that do know the chants, that want to get involved but don't.
