A please explain issued by Griffin
I was thinking we were getting a raw deal when watching other teams get away without yellows for harsher challenges. Guess I'm not the only one.

Agree on the yellows but the offsides? Maybe Bridge was off for the Boogard red card but it looks pretty close.

I somewhat agree that we've copped some stiff yellows the last few weeks but I really wish Greg griffin would keep his mouth shut in public. I can't imagine him sooking to the media is going to help our cause.

every time muscat or Arnold complain and whinge, things turn their way. Arnold complained about us being rough, we cop yellow avalanche and restricted the way we could play. so good on him. other fans will have something to say but who cares.I somewhat agree that we've copped some stiff yellows the last few weeks but I really wish Greg griffin would keep his mouth shut in public. Re: A please explain issued by Griffin
I actually thought boogards foul was no more then a yellow.
The ball was well infront of bridge and galekovic may have got there first or atleast soon enough to block his shot.
So this would indicate that it was not a certain goal scoring opportunity.
What really interests me is the lack of heat placed on valeri compared to that of seb ryall. Particularly when fox played the footage live once that ahowed ryalls ankle was clipped but then tried to bury it.
Compare that to valeri who was screaming for a pen, which is the goal that won them the prem...

Two things come out of this:
First, the article is by Magliciano so I wonder what was actually said - the clown is a louse and doesn't anything he can to bad mouth AU.
Second, Griffin needs a muzzle![Bang Head :bang:](./images/smilies/icon_bang.gif)

Re: A please explain issued by Griffin
Can't be bothered reading the article. But IMO I can't see AU being targeted. Most of the yellows AU have received of late have been there. Sure maybe a couple have been soft but I think that comes with some of the rash challenges being put in lately. Watson and Isaias' challenges on the weekend are key examples of that. This stems back to the fact some players are well and truly letting the pressure of the situation get to them, they are running around like headless chooks a bit and not thinking clearly.

There's definitely something in it and can understand the team getting frustrated but as many have pointed out they're having to make rash challenges to cover for mistakes they weren't making earlier in the year.

Bruce's turn
![Bow ](./images/smilies/icon_bow.gif)
As usual the great one has nailed itOn Reds allegedly being harshly treated by referees
“I think certainly. But it’s not a unique scenario. In a lot of different leagues that I’ve played in you find that the bigger clubs, the referees don’t favour them but are more reluctant to make any contentious decisions against those bigger clubs.
“We fall victim to that now and then but so do many teams around the world. It’s just part and parcel of the game.
“Personally I have good relationships with all the referees, they do the best that they can and it’s a tough job.
“Sometimes when the big guys come to town or you’re playing away at their stadium and maybe there’s a penalty or not, or a red card or not, [the referees] are uncomfortable to make that decision because the media makes a big deal about it and what have you.”

Re: A please explain issued by Griffin
How sad is it that our striker can speak his mind about a contentious subject in an eloquent and thought out manner, yet a board members media skills is the equivalent of saying "cheats farknnn because......cheats! Re: A please explain issued by Griffin
I think we have adopted the sfc/Arnold tactics in getting the media involved. Arnold almost killed the red card after petkovic copped one and then complained about our style and got us 7
Yellows that week.
Yellows that week.
