Re: Lady Reds
Piss poor draw to start but
1 home, bye then 3 away.
Hard to build up home support.
All the best to them for the season and will be attempting to catch a few games.

Re: Lady Reds
As a casual observer, I'm interested to know what has had the biggest impact. From memory we had a pretty young team in the past, perhaps we've kept the squad together and they're maturing? Or is Harnwell just doing an excellent job?

Re: Lady Reds
Sounds like the side has picked up a couple of quality players. But considering Harnwell won the W-league with Perth last season I'd say he's got a lot to do with it!As a casual observer, I'm interested to know what has had the biggest impact. Re: Lady Reds
I get the feeling no one really took the lady reds seriously in the initial years.
Some of the players did not even look like serious athletes. If im correct, the only good player we had was quigley. It seemed like the reds were treated more like a novelty all-stars carnivale team then anything else.
I think ross aloisi and jamie harnwell both changed things up, they are aspiring coaches and trying to prove a point. Also the brief signing of barbieri probably helped with a more professional attitude.

Ppl who slap the label of truth on the 1st thing they hear, do it out of ignorance, convenience or cant be bothered picking through a thin layer of falsehood to find the real truth, or possibly even another lie

Re: Lady Reds
Up until Edmonson took over in 2011-12, squad members were being flown in/out of Adelaide on home game days.
Mike Barnett was a horrible coach. In late January of 2011, me and a friend did Victory away (the W-League edition!) and Barnett was asking us the rules: 'That's offside, isn't it?'
Aloisi changed things for the better.

WE beat Melbourne!?!

Re: Lady Reds
Ridiculous that they were flying people in and out on match days. No wonder AU cut the ladies side. Who would approve such a thing?Up until Edmonson took over in 2011-12, squad members were being flown in/out of Adelaide on home game days.

Re: Lady Reds
It was also a very unprofessional setup in the past too. Most of the team only cared about partying each Saturday night after the game.
