We are usually horrible away to Newcastle but I think the Cup win will give a smug, boss kind of confidence that the club hasn't had for years. Maybe it's my native pissantry inside me, but I wouldn't have otherwise given us much chance.

2-0 win to us! Cirio back on the A-League scoresheet and can Goodwin score against his former side?

Of all the games to have to play so soon after a big cup-final win, Newcastle is the one you would choose.

It's becoming increasingly obvious that all teams are trying to do is park the bus against us.

WSW, Brisbane, and Perth all got 10 players behind the ball and just tried to counter. Doubt Newcastle will be any exception.

It's only going to get harder for us to score if teams keep doing this.

I feel concerned about this game. Winning the cup this week we go in with not much preparation as the norm plus travel to Newcastle. Jerro to score the equalizer/winner.

Yes it is a big test for the team's mental toughness.
