Intelligent football writing.

Named in honour after Leopold Baumgartner, an Austrian.

ISAIAS is two months away from owning an Australian visa and the chance to become a Socceroo in time for a potential FIFA World Cup berth in Russia in 2018.

I'm not sure if he's a huge chance of a Socceroos call up, but it sounds like he's keen to stay in Adelaide for a long time. Which I'm very happy about!

Would be cool to see him get a cap though, I think he's better than Jedinak and Milligan.

With Gomby in the NT setup I would say he has as good a chance as any!

I don't want to scare anyone but its a very astute move from him/his management. If he is not classed as a foreign player his value to teams in the A-League is significantly higher.

Great result if he stays in Adelaide and opens an additional foreign spot but next contract negotiation will be interesting!

I can see aloisi poaching him.

Imagine having cirio, carussca and isaias as aussies.

I doubt Carrusca will get another contract beyond his current one. He's getting on a bit and he's always been a tad injury prone, the older he gets the longer his recovery is gonna take each time.

I agree. Although he was so good at the end of last season. If he can get back to that level of fitness, there is few better in the HAL. It would be wonderful to see him get back to that and then finish on a high. It would be sad to see him finish up his season/career on the injury list.
