Villa, captain of lavishly-resourced MLS new boys New York City FC, has linked up with former Adelaide United coach Josep Gombau to launch a network of the 'DV7' kids academies across the United States.

I wonder if Val will be covering this?!

An article on the Advertiser's website from he who must not be named claimed that with his one true love Iacopo La Rocca returning from suspension, SURELY Mells would be moved to the bench for La Rocca, because he's an Italian beast and Mells is just a kid.

LOL

I probably would have agreed with that. But Mells is performing well despite being a kid, and it seems La Rocca has been brought to the club purely as a centre back.

Mells has done alright as a makeshift CDM in Isa' absence. La Rocca remains the better shout for the position, but we've scored seven and conceded none with Mells in the role.

Here is a link to previous article about how aufc will struggle to keep djite, cirio, isaias and carussca and that we are a victim on our own success.

This article was written in the gombau era and has basically just been rewritten by the same hack and changed a few names...

http://www.foxsports.com.au/breaking-ne ... 767607a08f

I seriously wonder how many articles are just rehashed from previous years with different names

The way Bruce talks about the "AU family", makes it hard for me to imagine that these players will "fark off" to another club.

It's not about the money.

Amor needs to talk to Val at the next press conference, Ranieri style.

"Hey man, we are in the Grand Final man! Dilly ding dilly dong, come on!"

Can't really speak for the quality of the articles as I haven't read them, but its nice to see they're publishing a new article about the Grand Final for what seems every 5 mins. Some buzz is in the air.

Probably due to the FFA feeding every journo they can with stuff to write about would be my guess.

This has nothing to do with val but anyone interested in a good laugh check out the video on "7 news adelaide " facebook.

The tone of the whole was about police and security will have their hands full.

2 people were thrown out......just 2!

They can say what they want to discredit football but 50k were at the game and experienced an atmosphere foreign to afl. The media are slowly losing their voice when it comes to anti football sentiment.

All I have seen and heard today is comment about it being the best atmosphere seen at AO since the redevelopment. That is a huge compliment to all the fans! Now we just need to convert them to regulars at Hindmarsh!
