He's just a guy doing a job. Articles only bother me if they unfairly adversely effect the club (if they fairly adversely effect the club the ce la vie) however I would be surprised if articles in the Advertiser play a leading role in corporate sponsorship or attendances.
Where articles from the Advertiser may be influential is in relation to state government policies, though to do so requires cerebral articles relating to governance, public participation, economic impact and the like; not exactly The Advertiser's forte.

I disagree. I think years of drama driven articles from him paint the club and the sport in a bad light. He's just a guy doing a job. Its hard for people not in tune with the game and/or club to have a high opinion of the game and/or club when the only full time football journalist says there is some sort of drama happening on a monthly basis?
But TBH considering how much attention his drama driven articles gain, especially by people sharing them only to complain about him. I can almost see why he does it.

I get the feeling that Val would out a closeted gay AUFC player if it meant more views on his articles.

It's what his Editors ask for.
They only want the sensational and dramatic.
They only want the sensational and dramatic.

Credit where credit is due-
Val has been pretty decent lately. I feel like he is back on board with the team and has been asking questions that people want to hear the answers to (ie- players/coaches reactions to referee decisions and match incidents) instead of trying to create false narratives of things like player unrest with coaches.
Also seems to have more of an insight into rumors at the club nowadays. He must be back in the circle of trust.

Re: #valsaid
Hasn't Rucci's career taken a downturn? I wouldn't know but I've heard that. If so maybe he's seen where things can lead if you don't treat the other stakeholders critical to your career with respect.
