Re: AUFC and the January Transfer Window!
I think this is good news and it's great to get an Adelaide boy back. Thought he was serviceable and occasionally exciting at both AUFC and Heart. I hope he turns it on for us!

Re: AUFC and the January Transfer Window!
Interesting how different people see it. I feel that Cirio is a better #10 as he can get around players with skill, but lacks the powerful finish enough to be a striker. Interested to see how this one plays out, however, I just hope he can stay fit!I'm not certain on Cirio's skills as a #10 though, but he can double as a striker, and I still want to see someone small and nimble like him working off of Bruce in such a role (we've yet to directly attempt this with Jero alas).

Marrone!!! Brilliant signing.
Cirio is a clever player and given some time will be a decent CF. Bruce (we all love him) is struggling again. If we are going to continue to leave him isolated then maybe we'll have to give him a rest. I'd still like to see Bruce/Jero or Bruce/Cirio up front but the system doesn't allow for it.

Re: AUFC and the January Transfer Window!
I feel if this system works properly players don't have to have strong finishes to score. We should be stretching the defence wide enough to create gaps. This should allow players to be in relatively easy positions to score.Interesting how different people see it. Seriously they must have a goal to turn over every player on the list within 12 months ......year on year.

http://footballcentral.com.au/marrone-r ... vByOXlWH4gWith one roster spot remaining for the Reds with Anthony Golec leaving on a permanent deal, Gombau has the ability to bring in another player. The Spaniard indicated that he would be willing to do so, but only to add quality. “I am satisfied with the players I have, but of course if there is a good opportunity, we can listen and we can discuss.”
Gambau has confirmed Antony has left us.

very happy to have Marrone at RB. I agree with moving Elrich to the left. he deserves to play.
loving how relentless Josep is being lol

After the messy Lustica situation, Gombau had this to say: “I don’t want any player, any person that is not happy in the club…Of course I was unhappy with his decision, but in the end now he is in another club and we have a player who can bring to us more things than Lustica.”
Re: AUFC and the January Transfer Window!
Golec to WSW?
Re: AUFC and the January Transfer Window!
Good to see Marrone return to the club.
Rated him when he was with us, and I am sure he will have grown in the few years he has been elsewhere.
Lad has speed, agility and holds well. Look forward to see him don the Red kit again.

I wonder if that's why we let Lustica go - to bring in Marrone. Did we have a full roster?

Re: AUFC and the January Transfer Window!
really?? where'd you hear that?Golec to WSW?
a mate messaged me bitching about Channel 9 earlier today.
the news update said something along the lines of
"more crisis in the Adelaide United camp and shock as Antony Golec will be leaving the club"
i laughed it off assuming they were talking about his move to China, which really isn't new, let alone a shock.

Re: AUFC and the January Transfer Window!
Mullen and Golec both signed for WSW. Simon Hill did a transfer window analysis on the fox sports website.
Re: AUFC and the January Transfer Window!
@SmithiesTele: Western Sydney have signed former @adelutd_fc and @SydneyFC defender Anthony Golec on short-term deal for the ACL.

Re: AUFC and the January Transfer Window!
So apparently Petrillo is on the look out for another player to complete our roster.
What sort of player do we need?
With Boogs and McKain out of contract at season's end I feel one of them might move on.
Either that or maybe another midfielder in the mould of Chelo. As is similar playing style not skill level. (My expectations aren't that high!)
