Probably a target of opportunity. Forum software version whatever has known flaw. leet hacksaws search google for the copyright message of said software version. exploit flaw.

Supposedly the forum admin has been absent for years, pretty good indication that the forum software was way out of date.

I read the '4-2' thread on there; think doing so gave me cancer. Hideous forum with only the smallest number of reasonable members.
