Seems to be confusion if its a loan or if he is to be released from the final 2 years of his contract

Could this be the beginning of the end for our pocket dynamo Brazilian LB ???
Zullo wants to nail down that spot for the WC, so I would imagine AU have told him it's his. That only leaves moving Cassio up the field and we all know how well that worked out when Jammo was here... NOT !

I would hope that Gomby would play the best player in that position, whoever that might be on any given day. Gotta do what's right for the team. Cassio will surely still have a role to play, he has done well playing higher up the pitch previously...

i dont think cassio's time at the club is nearing an end. he will still have a part to play, whether it be higher up the pitch or being a back-up to zullo. we have to remember zullo is only here for 1 season. cas is getting old, but like it has been said a million times before on here, i hope the club are putting in measures now to keep him on at the club. he is an invaluable asset in terms of helping our visa players settle here.

Yeah, but didn't he crack the shits last time when Jammo was playing LB and he was shunted forward to LM ?Cassio will surely still have a role to play, he has done well playing higher up the pitch previously...

I think that was mostly because of the long passes forward. He didn't like that. But I doubt he would be played there anyway, I still think he would be our first choice LB.

Zullo started out with Brissy as a winger. Maybe he'll be the one playing higher up? But I hope for everyone's sake Zullo makes the LB spot his own, as that is a real problem area for the Socceroos.

Good news.
Shows how the "value" of playing in the A-league has increased.

Zullo definitely can play at LM/LW but I doubt he would have signed to play that position.
He needs to be playing regularly at LB to have any chance of making the World Cup squad so I think you'll find he'll be battling with Cassio for that spot.
