Just a couple of points though.
If the players knew something was up why didn't they go to the board, sounds like nothing of the sort happened it was all whispering campaigns with admin and certain players.

One thing if you win a trophy its not the board that does the lap of honour, where have the players been in the last 4 months, they have to take responsibilities for their performance.

I remember a chart once that showed a clubs performance was something like:
20% admin
30% coaching
45% players
5% fans
I reckon we would be in the 30% range.

Also if Eugene goes so do I. No one more than he has kept us from being a total joke and saved our bacon from embarrassing defeats on too many occasions. He is the clubs only player that could be termed a legend in my opinion

It's not the owners, the players or the manager - or the fans.

It's the culture. Once a culture becomes toxic it has to changed and that can only happen with the goodwill of those who will give it. Those unprepared to change need to leave.

AU has drifted and been shoved way too far without anyone really LEADING. Eugene is a great keeper but a very silent captain. The owners manage but do not lead. Kossie and Mickey V talk but do not lead. The next manager has to be a leader and preferably a charismatic one. He also needs to be a listener - and not reactive.

Any amount of money will not buy a culture but the wise choice of a new manager (and team) will rebuild a culture. That's what we've lost.

Give the club a leader and it'll turn around.

You want the FFA to own us? Everyone knows that is not sustainable.

You could go down the community ownership model. That 'could' work well. But also could become toxic real quick.

You can't have your cake and eat it (whatever that really means). We are not in the fortunate enough position where we can have the best of both worlds. As much as no one likes it the club is a business, it is not there for someone to blow away all their money for our own enjoyment.

One thing I will say where the FFA should help is to throw in some money to help secure a genuine Marquee. SVD and Flores ARE NOT marquees, and the money should never be used for them.

Partially agree in that I don't think being FFA-run was viable in the long term and having actual owners. Beyond that though the current management of the club is atrocious. It's pretty obvious that Galekovic was implying that the boardroom was interfering in the "football department". So sticking to what you're good at might be a good starting place for board.
