D'Arrigo is listed on the club website as being in the A-league squad, but I can find nothing to say he has been promoted.
He's been pictured training with the senior squad wearing number 12 so I assume he's been promoted.
Great news if true. I'd imagine a 16 year old who won player of the season in last year's NYL would be sought after. Sad if true that the club can't find the time to post a small article about him signing up.
The thing is he has been on the website since some time last season, not sure when exactly. And the numbers just do not add up to what the club has said if he is part of the A-league squad. However he stopped playing in the NPL team when players like Brook and Konstadopoulos did earlier this season. Interestingly Niyongabire kept playing but I have no idea what that means.

Baba is in Adelaide and is training. I asked the club on their Facebook page and they replied. He just doesn't seem to ever be in any of the training photos and he wasn't at Para Hills last week.

Its probably unlikely then we will see a big signing that will headline our season and help sell tickets.

Obviously a true marquee was never going to happen but i had hoped for an exciting striker or 10 with an impressive cv.

Although it has to be pointed out baba is one of the best credentialed strikers to ever play in this league, he has never had a full pre season and quality time un injured to adapt to the league.

If we can find a rw solution ( or mileusenic steps up ) and a quality LB the this season is looking positive.

Baba has scored against Barcelona, cannot ask for more than that.

More seriously I think Baba is quality and if injury free will score 15+ goals this season.

If Baba is fit and interested he could be a beast in this league. He's got to get the service though. Something that Mileusnic just can't provide consistently IMO. We need someone to put in the pinpoint crosses or the killer through balls. Hopefully Goody and Ilso can give him what he needs.

Fornaroli had that season of record breaking goals with Aaron Mooy having a ton of assists. Bobo beat that record with Merjewivski and Ninkovic feeding him. Would they have scored as many without them?

Baba could be better than van dyke or even Carl veart.
The guy has put away some quality finishes and we saw one late last season with the outside of his foot. It seems it’s a pre season he needs so it worries me he has once again been absent and unsighted.

According to this, D'Arrigo hasn't been promoted which is strange since he looks to be training with the senior team. Maybe it hasn't been announced.

I mentioned this in the pre-season thread but Scott Galloway is on trial.

Would be okay back up left back, could also play right back, but is not good enough to start regularly.

He's gonna have to start regularly since they're aren't any better Aussie options out there.

There are better non-Aussie options.

I'd rather use our last visa spot on Adlung's replacement or a right winger.

Signing Mabil would be a good option right now, seeing as there are reports of Mileu in a moon boot.
Galloway is a like for like replace with Garrucio for me.

Tend to agree we look weaker in midfield without Adlung there.
