Warland surely jumped the gun? Has he seen game time yet at sydney?
If it was for game time then I don't really understand why he moved, was always going to be third choice for ACL and 4th for A-league. Pretty much the same as he is here. Couldn't be money unless Sydney are cheating...
Only plausible explanation I can think of is that he didn't get along well with the coach or someone else in the staff.
Warland would have been a like for like replacement for seb ryall, so its possible he saw a significant pay increase over his aufc contract

Ok. If he got Seb Ryall money to move fair enough. I know he wouldnt be on the highest money but Ryall was a nearly 200 game player and Warland is no where near that. Good for him.

But if Mitch was interested in coming here I'd be keen to see AU sign him.
IMO he's one of those Australian players that if he had an Italian or Spanish passport the community would rate his ability and output far higher.

Val's article today witj an update on re-signing the three locals
- O'Doherty, offered a 2 year deal in pre-season, hasnt been revised looks like he'll end up in Brisbane.
- Elsey, offered a deal looking more promising than it was.
- Garuccio offered a deal, no real indication as to other suitors ir liklihood to sign on.

Turning down a 2 year deal and wanting to piss off to Brisbane Roar?
What's the point of supporting our young players if they're always sniffing around for something different?
