He'll get some game time I think. I wish he had stayed here & retired with us, but as long as someone is paying him to be a professional footballer there's no reason to feel sorry for him!

Would like to see him come back to Adelaide in some capacity (or to focus on his Academy) after this season, it really sounded like his heart was here.
That's exactly what will happen I think

All quiet on the United Front. Tick tock, Ante.

This is just how we operate. I'm not even mad.

We wait until the window has closed or very near to and pick up the players who no one wanted for a cheaper price.

And they do ok for us too, but just once I wouldn't mind us signing a gun early for maximum impact

The club doesn't come back from xmas break until the second week of feb and then looks at 3 or 4 players, picks the cheapest and hopes they are fit enough to play by round 25.

Yeah me too but it just isn't going to happen with these owners.

I've adjusted my expectations and it no longer disappoints me.

there is not even a murmur other than Ante having a moan on radio "that players don't want to come to Adelaide".
If that is true, he aint the bloke for this job.

Has he ever been to Sarajevo, Glasgow, Bilbao, Leipzip, Rotterdam, most of Belgium?

Fifth most liveable, Lonely planet's "coolest" precinct, "best restraunt in Australia", world class schools and wine regions with ultimate safety and he can't sell it?

Agree Rojas,Adelaide has always been able to attract decent imports going back to the NSL days. So it's just a BS cop out for not spending the money it takes to get them here. Even Kurtz in his pre game yesterday alluded to us not having any marquees meaning all the squad is within the cap,so it all points to the owners being tightarses which is hardly new under the current regime. But it is somewhat understandable in the current FFAvs everyone else climate. Unfortunately it also leads fans to stay away or not renew after 3 game memberships are exhausted ( like me and my family). Why should we keep stumping up hard earned when the owners refuse to...

World class schools...... our education system is garbage actually.

Adelaide is considered boring, not that I think it is, but the 20-30 age bracket see it that way.

Someone needs to speak to Ante off the record.

well, baba and absalonssen need to be replaced either this year or next. No point having visa players sitting in the stands every week. Johan has already missed 12 games out of 20. A few of those have been short stints off the bench. Same for baba.

Gulum heading that way too. Not that the injuries are his fault.
(he was looking a bit of a liability last night though before he went off)

Baba possibly, he is unfortunetly made of glass,

Gulum and absa no.

Gulum and absa are injured due to impact injuries, it could have happened to anyone. It was only absas quad injury that kept him out for the long term which he has recovered from
