I like the way Bruce has gone about it so far.

We have the vast majority of our squad so we can take time to find the ones we want and the best we can afford.

I'd completely forgotten that he played a couple of games for us.

Probably best for him to stay in Denmark.

I wonder if trial was more like fitness/medical test.

Adelaide United will delay a decision on signing Roland Alberg until after it has assessed the former Dutch youth international in a series of pre-season matches.
Looks like I jumped the gun.

Not a bad option though

Do any of us really believe alberg wont be signed?

Maybe im just a sceptical long suffering aufc fan, but I doubt someone like Alberg would come to adelaide at his own cost at the chance of a contract.

My feeling is his continued trial is more of a PR thing than anything else.

Im happy to be wrong though

It's just playing it smart. No doubt this is the positive influence of Bruce Djite. We've had too many dud imports in recent seasons.

Is it his own cost? I'd assumed the club would cover flights and accom, just no contract yet.

Heck, maybe he's trialling us? Get a feel for the city, facilities etc.

I like that he was prolific in the MLS, sometimes its hard to take a step down (S.Guardiloa) but then I thought that about Ilso.

Goodwin set to head to Saudi Arabia.

Money would have been too good to refuse. Wonder if that means Troisi will come in ??

Was always on the cards. He is a quality player and glad he came back to us. Would be easier to take if it was to a European league, I just don’t rate the Arab leagues as a progression. It’s purely a money thing which I accept but prefer to keep the local boy in red.

Kitto and Nikola can do the job.

Im sure the money is good but is this move going to be better or worse for him getting socceroo games or the dream Euro move?

1 or 2 seasons of obscurity and then back to the A-league...
