Oops, I read the post above that the incoming player was a free agent, after reading it again I see that was a mistake.Given we have shown an interest in paying a fee, and we have some.money in the kitty after losing Goody, I don't think we need to be looking purely at free agents.

Re: Who's signed for next season
I didn’t even think of that but I’d love that to be the case even if it seems unlikely.Given we have shown an interest in paying a fee, and we have some.money in the kitty after losing Goody, I don't think we need to be looking purely at free agents.
Someone on Twitter suggested Donny Gorter who plays for ADO Den Haag. He looks a bit better on paper but still underwhelming. He hardly played last season as well which would make the signing more likely.

Re: Who's signed for next season
Theres no sense in paying a transfer fee if they are not marquees or fall under the home grown rule as the transfer fee counts towards the cap i believeGiven we have shown an interest in paying a fee, and we have some.money in the kitty after losing Goody, I don't think we need to be looking purely at free agents.

Plus, I can't see us paying a fee unless they are likely to earn a bigger transfer fee in the future.Theres no sense in paying a transfer fee if they are not marquees or fall under the home grown rule as the transfer fee counts towards the cap i believeGiven we have shown an interest in paying a fee, and we have some.money in the kitty after losing Goody, I don't think we need to be looking purely at free agents.

If it’s a small fee, then I don’t see why not. We apparently have plenty of room in the cap and only need to make a few more signings anyway, and I think at least one of those will be a marquee.Theres no sense in paying a transfer fee if they are not marquees or fall under the home grown rule as the transfer fee counts towards the cap i believeGiven we have shown an interest in paying a fee, and we have some.money in the kitty after losing Goody, I don't think we need to be looking purely at free agents.

Re: Who's signed for next season
I doubt we will make a marquee signing, we don't have THAT much cash to splash do we ??
Signings are always good to see, but even Jordy looked good on youtube.

Re: Who's signed for next season
We had a marquee last season (Baba) and Bruce said that we will spend more money than we’ve ever spent before so we will have to sign a marquee to do that.I doubt we will make a marquee signing, we don't have THAT much cash to splash do we ??

Our weird circular link with city/heart continue with Sibon taking a role at the club.
A very positive move IMO lets hope he can help produce some target men.

Re: Who's signed for next season
It is that guy.Could be this guy-
Michael Maria
https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/michael ... ler/308356
Played for Verbeek before, played LB and DM, contract ending in a couple of months and not playing much at his current club.
Has played more professional minutes under Verbeek than any other coach.

Looks very underwhelming on paper.

Re: Who's signed for next season
I'm not willing to write anyone off before seeing them play, but LB is a particularly weak point in the squad so we need this guy to come good.
Is it a trial or a signing ??
