Lia off to Perth Glory.
Interesting move, wouldn't think he's any more likely to get game time.

Ppl who slap the label of truth on the 1st thing they hear, do it out of ignorance, convenience or cant be bothered picking through a thin layer of falsehood to find the real truth, or possibly even another lie

Re: Who's signed for next season
Almost getting the impression that AU don’t think they are in the running this season and are now going for more youth. Glory on the other hand seem to be prepping for success this season and speaks volumes that Lia would leave AU to sign for Glory where he couldn’t get any minutes in a team crying out for leadership and experience.
Be interested if we sign any replacements for the 3 that have been released or just promote more kids

Re: Who's signed for next season
Perth have confirmed the signing of Margus. In the media release, they also announced the departure of Riley Warland.
Bruce has said he’s looking at bringing in at least one player so maybe he’s coming to AUFC. We are lacking defensive depth so he could be a decent signing.

Re: Who's signed for next season
Elrich just released
An ex player that plays in a position that could do with strengthening/competition.
Getting a bit older but still looks fit, although hasn't played as much this season
Bruce is hoping to get a player in in January and two ex-players have contacted him
Maybe?

Wow, Perth are filling that squad - I guess to prep for ACL but wonder how they will all be used in the A Legue too

Re: Who's signed for next season
Bruce has said he'd like to bring in a player but according to Verbeek, we MUST sign another player because we have less than the minimum after letting go of Lia, Margus and Armiento (possibly only a scholarship player? I wonder if Victory will still take him post-Kurz?). So it will either be the budget option of promoting a youth team player or a new signing.
Has to be a CB in my opinion. We have cover everywhere else on the pitch, if you count Marrone as a RB.
Has to be Australian because we already have 5 contracted visa players.
Has to be relatively cheap because we are tight.
Could be a former player.
Will it be before the window closes or will it be late Feb???

Rob Greenwood reporting that a former player is returning and he thinks the player will be a “more than handy pick up”.
I have a gut feeling that it’s going to be Mauk.

Surely not. Im not even sure how he'd fit in.Rob Greenwood reporting that a former player is returning and he thinks the player will be a “more than handy pick up”.

Handy is more like Malik or Galloway, probably end up being Kamau or O'Dog

Re: Who's signed for next season
Mauk is indeed the rumour.
If so, in a midfield of D'Arrigo, McGree and Troisi, it's D'Arrigo who'll probably miss out.
