It’s funny that two seasons ago, we were desperate for a player in that position and stacked in the final third and two years on we are threadbare on the front third and are stacked with DM’s

We never seem to have a well rounded out squad, through injury or bad recruitment. We always seem to have great wingers without a striker to aim for or a great/tall striker without a winger that can hit him on the head.

If AU is the club being sold, I wouldn't be super surprised. The owners started with a bang, paying a transfer fee for McGree, bringing back Djite and Eugene, Troisi (good signing at the time). Since then it's been back to running on a shoestring budget with no additional investment outside of the salary cap. Covid? Maybe, but the club was also bragging that we had done better than most clubs financially last season.

bpowell, the club being sold IS Adelaide United. I hinted at this on the forum. Now two consortiums are bidding for the club and this has partly caused a delay.

It’s Nahuel Bonada, an Argentine striker playing in the NPL. Pretty underwhelming tbh.

We are building a top notch NPL team by the looks of our recent signings and trial players None will address the clear lack of quality that is evident in a few positions.

Halloran had signed for a club in South Korea. Veart says the club are hoping to bring in a visa player in the next week or so.

What do football fans think of Nahuel Bonada, the attacking midfield triallist? He has played locally for West Adelaide and Metrostars, so what do football fans that have seen him play, think. I haven't seen him play, but a mate has said that he deserves an opportunity at A-League level. Your comments please.

Mauk off to Japan now it looks like! Never against players moving on like Mauk or Halloran, but the club has really placed itself in a corner as far as replacements being on hand. This is the exactly scenario I feared would occur when they released Al Hassan.
Maybe the club can finally sign a replacement for Troisi? Makes the club look a bit silly complaining about Troisi leaving at the last minute as a replacement would be hard to find. Then taking over 12 months to find that replacement.
